I just got a call from this number at 6:38PM. Didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.

312-775-1287 called me, yesterday, and I answered the second call from them and it is Blue Cross Insurance following up on a Customer Satisfaction Survey based on a previous phone call I had made to Blue Cross. They were wanting to make sure any problems that I may have had with Blue Cross had been resolved. As soon as I told the gal I was satisfied, she thanked me for my time and said, "Goodbye".

Do you work for them?

Got a call from that number, did not answer, suppose it was a sell pitch of some kind. hate those [***].

Called 2 twice in 2 days.  ID came up as ipsos an opinion research company.  When I told them I was not interested, they asked when would be a good time.  Umm how about never and leave me alone.

Please do not call me.  I am on the do not call list

answered on the third ring, nobody there....  4:59pm Sunday afternoon.

Just got a call from these clowns. They asked for my mother who's in a nursing home. They claimed to be from Social Security and wanted some answers about her health. Another filing with the FCC I believe. Not that those jerks will do anything.

My Caller ID identified this number as "IPSOS".   A search on the internet turned up www.ipsos.com which is a Paris based marketing / research firm.  Obviously 312 is US so I would guess this is a some US based branch call center.

They called me and never left a message.  

Only a fool calls a telemarketer back, as that verifies your phone number and time that you are home so that they can continue calling you and selling your number as proven valid.

You are kidding right?   You really think that by cooperating with a survey researcher/telemarketer that they will "stop calling" ????   ROFL  I have a bridge in Brooklyn and some swampland in Florida I would love to sell you!

It's to their benefit now to keep calling someone who is cooperative... most of us just ignore or block such callers.  You just identified yourself to them as an easy touch.

Seriously, even if you never hear back from IPSOS (and there is no reason at all to think you won't) you have just verified your phone number and the time of day that you are at your phone.

At the very least, IPSOS will likely sell this very valuable information.  I would expect your frequency of survey, telemarketer and charity calls to increase soon.
