So... I have to back up that post that mentioned that they are buying debt for pennies on the dollar.  It's called "factoring."  I worked in finance (not in collection) for years and whenever A/R becomes 'uncollectable' rather than simply wash it off the books, companies will 'factor' their debt or sell it at a discount to another company.  This injects them with cash and transfers the debt to another collector.  There's really no limit to how many times this can be done.  But I feel that if you have any collector contacting you for any reason, it's a fair question to ask if the debt has been 'factored' and for what amount.  You may TRULY be able to negotiate your way out of the debt for a fraction (like a third) of the original amount.  Be CERTAIN to get a PAYMENT IN FULL LETTER BEFORE you send over your money.  Again, BEFORE you send your MONEY.  Be sure it mentions releasing all liens they may have placed against you or your property. If you don't they may mysteriously 'forget' that they ever agreed to it and suddenly you're much more 'collectable', you affirmed the debt by making a payment and the ball is 100% back in their court to factor the outstanding balance again.  I assume no responsibilities for your action or inaction based on my post.

They have been calling here on a regular basis and we never pick up.  After reading this post I called them back, asked to speak to a supervisor and told them they had the wrong number, I explained that we have absolutely no debt and an excellent credit rating, I even declined to give my name.  They were very nice and promptly removed our number from they're list.  The supervisor apologized profusely.  You might as well answer and do the same unless you actually do have debt in collection.

Almost all the posts here indicate that this is Delta Outsource Group, and here you are stating it is a different company.  How did you come up with this name?

Having the same name as a thousand or more people, they call and phish for a bite, I was accused of owing money to many places and banks I've never heard of, not me I tell them , even the pronunciation of my last name , they add an L where there is none, why they keep calling is beyond comprehension, I've never had an account with bergners or any of the  stores., several of the freds they call for are deceased, I've looked them up online.

The company is called Diversified Consultants, they are calling to collect on a debt from you or are calling you because someone that they are trying to collect from may have listed your number as a reference.

Con artist - tries to con people by offering cashiers check for items for sale. I asked some questions and he/she never responded.
