It was a robo voice saying her name was "Tiffany" and that I could reduce my student loan by 40% based on the Obama student loan act of 2013 or something... Grrrrl please... How are you callin people about timeshares too?! GTFO

They wanted to advise me about student debt consolidation period I do not have any student dead nor have I ever had any student debt

Called about a student loan rate program approved by Obama that I could take advantage of.  Too bad I paid my loans off months ago.

Opened  up my unlisted cell phone and heard that infamous generic female "he-LOO" robocoice.  Hung up.

Never never never call back or you might end up with extra charges on your phone bill, even international.  Secondly, real student loan assistance doesn't cold-call people.  Thirdly, you just gave your phone number to their robocaller, so they will be calling you again.  Don't answer!   ... And why are so many of you telling personal information online to strangers, including that you went to college and are young enough to have student loan debts or just paid them off?  Stop doing that!

Carrie, they are predatory criminals, stupid.  Why would they care if you are on DNC?  Furthermore, DNC isn't there to protect individuals, they catch very few  of them, they say their job is to "follow trends," and their real main job is self-perpetuation.

The main job of the Do Not Call Registry is to stop legitimate telemarketers from calling people who don't want telemarketing calls. It is almost 100% effective at this. It certainly won't stop criminal scammers – no more than the law against breaking & entry stops burglars.

WHAT A JOKE.......These companies should be shut down by the state and federal government NOW  I have not had a student loan since the
1960's and that was paid off long ago.  This is my country too and I vote to stop this sh.. and stop it now.

Got the call from 316 201 9046. No message but I'm glad I checked it out on this site first.

It won't take long to fill up 250 blocked calls at 10 per day. Then what? Another $60?

Recorded message saying I had been approved for a lower rate for student loans and could press 1 to speak to a live operator. Given that my government student loan communication has been entirely through email and mail, and that I already have a minimal rate, I hung up.

Part of a message left on my voicemail:  "...have been flagged to rate and payment reduction of up to forty percent as part of the new government student debt relief program as released by president Obama on December twelfth, twenty-thirteen.  Press one to be connected to a live operator to take advantage of this new program, or press five to decline this offer."

War-dialed my work number.  This call is an absolute fraud.

Just got a call from this number, no message.

"Hello, this is Tiffany from the Student Loan Center..." Robocall.

Received call about my student loans. Have been out of school for over 20 years! Pressed 1 to speak with someone. She asked my name, gave her my first name. Then, I asked her name - couldn't understand her. She asked me if I had student loans. Then I asked her to tell me what she had on file since she called me. She hung up. Scam!

Called my cellphone. Didn't recognize that number so I pressed "send a message" saying...I'm on my way.
I'm pretty sure these companies sell numbers to each other.  I never put my number on the DO Not Call List because I believe they pass the numbers around too. Ever notice how many more calls you receive after joining the DNC list  !!!

Recorded message about being flagged for Obama student loan forgiveness. Pressed 1 and got someone who asked me for my name and whether I had a Student loan.
