my step dad just got a call from this number, its a collect call, but he couldnt answer it from his cell phone... idk??

I keep getting collect calls from this number and I want it to stop or I will take legal action immediately!!!

I do not want calls from this number! I did not call it and do not want to receive calls from it.

I was this phone calls to stop. I get at least 5-10 phone calls from this number every week. it's extremely frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CITY TELL COIN IS A PHONE SERVICE NOT A PRISON.  THEY CHARGE VERY HIGH FEES TO TALK FOR 15 MINUTES TO SOMEONE WHO IS LOCKED UP IN A PRISON IN THE SOUTH, HERE IN INDIANA THE COST IS 6.50 FOR 15 MINS AND IT GOES DIRECTLY ON YOU PHONE BILL.  I PAID 23.00 TO CITY TELE COIN FOR A 15 MIN CALL AND I WILL NOT USE THIER SERVICE AGAIN.  RIGHT NOW I'M LOOKING FOR AN E-MAIL ADDRESS SO I CAN COMPLAIN  ABOUT ALL THE AUTOMATED CALLS I KEEP GETTING ON MY CELL PHONE.

there is an inmate that repeatedly calls my home phone at all hours.  the message says he is in the Rapides Parish jail.  how can iI block these calls?

First..ask yourself, do I know anyone who could suddenly be in jail or prison? Second..try to contact the people who pop into the front of your mind. Don't assume! Chances are good that you are being targeted randomly for some sneaky lil criminal's personal phoning account, and if you take a moment to think and check first, you may avoid being taken for a ride. These people are smart, they know EVERYONE knows SOMEONE that could've gotten in trouble and might possibly call from jail, they're "banking" on your generousity. On the other hand..if that crazy uncle or whatever is suddenly harder to get ahold of....well..you decide the risk you're willing to take there.

Go to their website and it tells you how to block your number.   Just because the call says its from LA does not mean that is where it is coming from.  It could be a loved one who got locked up and is calling to tell you so.   It could be scams as well... but for me it was a friend who go picked up.

i do not know anyone in jail

I am  sick and tired of getting these calls how can they get blocked  I even got a call at 3:30 am I am not  a happy camper

If everybody is right & this is a legit prison phone call -

Just keep in mind one thing - people in prison WILL and DO just get a phone, hit buttons, and hope that someone on the other end will actually answer.  Then they will do what they needs & say what they can to get you to do whatever it is they want.  They will use you for whatever possible.  If you don't know anybody in prison, especially in Louisiana - think about it this way, I live in OKLAHOMA & just got the call.  Mine was from "Randy" - I don't know anybody so I hung up.  

Just protect yourself and don't be stupid.

i absolutley agree they chrge me 11 dollars just to put money on my husbands account so if i put 20 dollars on his account only 8 dollars goes to his phone calls and when i tried to call them last time to see where all my money was goin they were rude would not let me explain what i was upset about and then a supervisor got on the phone with an attitude and just flat out was like like u aint gettin ur money back so are u done waistin my time i have other customers to tend to and hung up ..... i mean i dont see how these people are still in business
