CBE group has been calling me, on my cell phone, despite repeated requests not to continue calling me, they alledge that I owe Verizon wireless a debt though I have never had verizon as a carrier. Additionally, for what it's worth, twice representatives called me by the wrong name and both times they called by by the same wrong name, Jonah.

What is it about the website's name, 800notes.com, that led you to believe that anyone affiliated with it called you?
AND why on earth did you post your name and phone number on a public website?  Are you trying to get more scammers calling you???  Duh.

It's hard to say " wrong number" to a computer!

persistent calls all day every day.  i do not pick up id shows toll free number. the number is 877-411-5551

If people weren't dishonest about paying their bills there would be no need for dialing the wrong number. You complain about something that takes 15 seconds to correct.  
You say politely sorry you have the wrong number after you confirm that you aren't the person they are looking for. End of calls. All the other extra of calling compliance, doing an investigation, mind you the person who posted this is a deadbeat that takes bills and doesn't pay them. Professional debtor alert!!!

I've received repeated calls at my home from this "CBE Debt Collection" and I don't owe anything.The problem is- its an automated recording that doesn't even repeat the number nor leave a name, or account or reference number. I was fairly certain it was a scam, but went online to double check. I have only had my home number since Jan 2014, so I answer in case it was for the previous owner I will happily and politely say this is the wrong number and please remove me. However I am not even given this option because, as stated, it's a bot; says the message and then disconnects the call! Strange way to collect debt if you ask me!

I'm with you. Same thing here. I have had this number for years and explain to the dolts in collections that the person they want hasn't had this phone number for ages. I don't know them, I don't live in the same town, and I can't help them. I also get calls from the schools about their delinquent kids, their dentist and doctors. I will have to change my number again to get away from the endless calls. Ironically, I changed it to stop the incessant fake Microsoft scam artists from India. Sigh.

The problem is they data mine with these calls asking for an address etc.  I will not confirm my information so that they can sell it to the highest bidder.

Stop calling me every hour

The only problem with that is by the time we are tired of being harassed we ARE AT OUR WITS END from having our phone rang 8-10 times a day and answering machine hung up on.  It's very intrusive! Phone etiquette is a two way street!

I have received several phone calls from this number 1 877-305-2086. One at mobile phone, one at home phone and one at my Aunt's place. How the [***] did they get my home or Aunt's number anyways??? This person name is Stuart. And he called a few times. I want him to stop calling me or I'll take legal measures. And have you sued.

The CBE group is calling me several times daily looking for someone who doesn't live here any longer...  I sleep during the day because of work... I really need this stopped...  Thank you

I never had a bill  collector.     And they ask for my husband that is passed.   . Please have them stop

KEPT GETTING CALLS FROM  888- 887- 5430 AL THE TIME. CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AFTER I GOT FED UP, THEY ASKED FOR THE NUMBER I WAS CALLING FROM. GAVE IT TO THEM AND THEY ASKED IF I KNEW A PERSON, I SADI YES BUT     DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY IVE NOW. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE ME OFF THE LIST.

What CBE Group now appears to be doing is calling numbers of professors that may be affiliated with students who have defaulted on loans.  They called me about five times today - bordering on harrassment - for a student I'd never heard of.  I asked for information about the company.  The caller would not provide any information.  There are two numbers they called from today:  866-910-3178 and 913-608-8674.  Each time I picked up the phone no one answered.  I finally got tired of the robocalls and called the 866 number back.  I was directed to the 913 number.  This took about 30 minutes out of my time today.  Definitely NOT an ethical Debt Collection company.  They should be reported to the Iowa Better Business Bureau because that's where they're company is located.
