Called my cell phone, have no clue who or what they are because no-one said anything.  If it was a bill collector I would be very interested in how they have my cell phone number and better yet this number use to be my young teenage daughter's phone...hmmmm.

Just called my cell.  I never answer(I owe an oldddd Verizon bill) so pretty sure its them.  I also keep getting texts saying "why havent you text me back?"  Sneaky [***].

Keep getting calls from these people about once per day in the morning. I answer and announce myself then about 1 second later they hang up. We're a small business and they just waste our time.

This number called my cell at least twice per day & did not leave a msg.  I finally got fed up and called the number.  It is CBE, and they were looking for someone named Nicole.  I told them I am NOT that person.  They were very nice and took my number off their list.  I better not get any more calls.....

I answered and they asked for someone I don't know, I told them they had the wrong number and to stop calling many times a day. The lady said she'll note that the person they asked for didn't answer and will take my number off the list and said bye before I could say anything else. I thought she hung up and said hello multiple times cause it didn't show she hung up. After about 10 secs she said "I can comprehend, I'm not stupid" I mean what type of business is this to talk to me this way when they have the wrong number. I told her that I wanted my phone to not only be taken off the list but to be completely erased from this person's file that she asked for. She then proceeded to be rude and in a very rude tone said "I TOLD you that there's no list" I then told her she just told me that I was on a list and that I was simply asking to be erased completely, she then rudely said "I already told you what I was going to do." I told her not to call again and if anyone did from their business I would report them for harrassment. She huffed at me and I hung up before she could give a smart ass remark to me again. I don't know who they are, just some collection agency, and I'd hate for anyone to answer their calls and have a debt with them because they are unbelievably RUDE. I take that back, saying their rude is being kind. Good Luck in dealing with these people!

I've been receiving calls from this number and finally answered.. they asked for someone that wasn't me and then they asked me if XXX was numbers in my address (which it wasn't), then also asked me to confirm if the last 4 digits of my SSN was XXXX (it wasn't).  I asked what CBE stood for and she was rude and said it stood for CBE.  I asked what the call was concerning since I told her the first time I wasn't the person she was looking for.. she said "it's a personal matter".  I've had my cell phone number for over 15 years and I don't owe any outstanding debts that haven't been paid.  I have no idea how they got my cell phone number and have no idea what they want.  I asked them to remove this number from their calling list and she advised they have no list...     odd for sure.

They just called me to my cell and I didn't answer. So I called them back using the *67 method and I am not the person they are asking me.

How am I degrading???? If peopel aquire a service should they not fill there obligation and pay for the services? I am a single mother working to pay my own bills and support my family.

I have morals, and did not lower myself.

This company calls you, you are not the person they want. What do you do, except, have them drive you nuts. Anyone have a solution on how to get them to stop calling. I don't know who gave them this phone number, don't they try to verify the person they are calling. If they are a company and put this phone number in the credit bureaus, they would find out it comes to me not the person they think it is.  STOP CALLING ME YOU IDIOTS.

     If your apartmnet faces NORTH, Disk network can place the dish (antennae) on you patio/balcony, they can even mount it into the ground for you to face SW if that's needed. -
I had the same issue moving from a house to an apartment.

i answer the phone when they call and they wont speak or no recordings then it hangs up?!?!

This CBE calls between 3 and 6 times a day. I have no debt other than my house payment which is always current. It saddens me these people use my phone, which I pay money to have, to harrass me for money that i do not owe.. and if I explain that they do not have the correct residence/phone # for whomever they are calling for, they find some reason to ask me further questions about this person whom I do not know..

Im only 17 and theyre callin me. What would they have to collect from me?

They called my cell phone 5-10 times a day for over 2 weeks.  I received calls from them  prior to, and even after, the federally allotted call window of 8 to 5, and still do....  but now the calls are blocked.

I lost everything, am starting over, and the collectors can kiss my behind.  They're scavengers, buying debts for pennies on the dollar, which they try to collect by shaming the debtor, but there's no shame in losing a job, and there is nothing more they can do to me, so I'm not afraid of them anymore.

I finally answered one of the calls today, and for 10 full minutes I berated the b*tch at the other end of the phone,  I led her to believe that I'd be giving her my VISA # at the end of the call to pay whatever debt they'd been harrassing me for over the past 2+ weeks.  Smelling a payoff at the end of the call, they'll take a ton of verbal abuse, so after 10 minutes of ranting, screaming, swearing, and questioning her paternal heritage,  I then asked her to what number I would fax the "cease and desist" letter to put an end to the phone harrassment.  She put me on hold, and when she returned, she stated they did not have a fax number; that I would have to mail the letter, and she provided  me with a mailing address.  At the end of the call, she stated, "If you're done now, I'm ready to take your VISA number."  I told her that I would never give that personal information over a non-secured, phone line, during a call which she admitted was being recorded,  

She then became hostile, stating sarcastically, "So, how did you plan to pay it?  Were you were going to send the VISA information to me by telepathy?"  

I replied, "I was going to fax the information to you", and then I disconnected the call.

iPhone, Android apps, and Blackberry  have several inexpensive  call-blocking apps - if you've been unemployed long-term, living with that knot in your stomach for a year or more every time the phone rings, and you've no more to pay them with, and perhaps are finally filing for Chapter 7 as I am - the iPhone app is well worth the $0.99.

Received a call on my new cell phone from (319) 242-7350 - 0n 6/13/2011 - Female voice asked for "Amanda" - I told the caller she had a wrong number - she thanked me politely and hung up.

IF YOU ARE RECEIVING HARASSING PHONE CALLS FROM ANYONE PLEASE REPORT THEM ON THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION WEBSITE FTCCOMPLAINTASSISTANT.GOV EVERY TIME THEY CALL, TAKES 2 MINS. MAYBE IF WE ALL DID THIS EVERY TIME THEY CALL THE FTC WILL SHUT THEM DOWN!
