They called me this morning as well, claiming that their "client" from Missouri has attempted to use six different collection agencies to collect a debt of $350 however they were not able to contact me.  They alledge the debt was from August of 2012 however when I advised them that I moved from Missouri in 2011, they placed me on hold.  They came back on and asked is this "my correct name" and "your social security number is--- -- ----" which was the correct number.  I asked them once again who they were and what was the name of their "client" which they denied telling me.  All they stated was that the collection is now a felony and they are going to pursue criminal charges, that I "better" get a criminal attorney.  I called the State of Missouri Attorney's General and filed a complaint as well as here in my current state.  When I get home from work, I am going to place a fraud alert on my credit.

I work for a loan company and received a call from them, wrong DOB, was a fake company stating they collect loans. One of my customers called me numerous times to state they are harassing her about her loan.
      They harvest information from the internet and places you have applied for loans, basically they get e-mail lists from people who applied for loans. The scam is simple;

    1. You applied for something online, could have been a vacation, loan, anything.
    2. They bought the list of information you placed in your online "profile" or whatever.
    3. Then they attempt to collect said loan and unfortunately people pay them because they once took out a loan and could not remember if they paid the loan.

If you have paid them file a police report and a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission, NO ONE can arrest you!
If they continue to harass you tell them to hold on one moment while you turn on your recorder, you will hear a click and they will not call back.

So far as I know, there is no J & J Law Group.

    These people are total scammers.

You won't get taken to court - you've been contacted by extortionist scammers.  Debt is civil, not criminal, so even if you had defaulted on a loan, you cannot be arrested for this!  More here:

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

I am having the same problem and could not figure who is always calling me but they are numbers i do not  know.. So do not pick up. This just happened in the last 3 days so ,got also a email from national credit services LLC and they said i owned a couple of payday loans but as far as i figured just a couple of them were on the email and never really got them approved from the company. There was not a couple of them i did have and they are paid off a year ago. I just do not understand people who do this scamming stuff how they really do not get a way with this unless you actually do go to the law about it or lawyers and charge them.I am a lady 66 trying to make it in this world on the little funds i have. I can not stand such stupidity. Thanks for my time in writing

I received a call from this # today. It was very hard to hear the company name that they claimed to be calling from but they informed me that I had a criminal complaint signed against me from a company called A Capital. I hung up because if there was a criminal complaint signed against me I surely would have received something in the mail and not a phone call!

I just want to take a minute to express my gratitude to Mike Jones at J&J Law Group for going above and beyond his duties and giving me a final opportunity to address an old loan I owed without the hassle of court costs and attorneys fee. I don't think many folks would have given thought to the happenings in my life the way he did. I am grateful.

I got a call from J&J Law Group, Fred Jackson saying I owed a $350 debt in the state of California. When they asked me to confirm my name and social I refused, to which they got very mad at me. I yelled a lot and they ended the call saying they would contact me tomorrow. Then I looked the number up here and see that I'm not the only one getting this call. I'm glad I looked, I started freaking out. They say it happened in California in 2011, I left Cali in 2009. Told me it was for a pay day loan...and I've NEVER taken out a payday loan in my life, then he tried to tell me it was through my old bank Wells Fargo, I still have Wells Fargo so that's WRONG! Don't fall for this scam [***]!!
