got this robocall and checked with IRS - THIS IS A SCAM -- The endgame is to fool people into forwarding money, and quickly. Scammers have been known to threaten arrest, deportation or loss of a driver’s license.

There are a few telltale signs that it’s a scam. For one thing, the IRS always sends tax notices in the mail. Also, agents never call with urgent demands for cash.

If you believe you received a scam call:

▪  Don’t give out sensitive financial information.

▪  Call the real Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040, to find out if you truly do owe money.

▪  Make a report through the Treasury Inspector General for Administration website at TIGTA.gov, or call the fraud hotline at 1-800-366-4484.

Another twist on a scam to take your money.  The IRS dose not contact you this way.  This number does not show up on any number for the IRS.   I hope they do not scam any elderly people.  I hope they end up in jail.

Well, money mules most likely here in the US, but the calls are mostly coming from India and Pakistan.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

We got a call from this number today.  It was a recording advising it was the final notice from the IRS.  It's been all over the TV here about IRS scams and how the actual IRS does not call you if they need to reach you.  This is definitely a scam!
