- brentThe caller said his name is ivan. and that my new computer was about to crash. he want access to fix the problem . i told him this is a scam and that hes fooling no noe
- AnnieI also received a call from this number. I had a hard time understanding the man at first because of he was talking kind of fast with a thick accent. Same as everyone else, he said he was calling with Microsoft and that my computer has infections. As soon as I could understand him and the reason for his call I knew it had to be a scam. Never, ever, ever in my life has Microsoft, or any computer-related company, called me out of the blue to tell me my computer is infected. (Word to the wise - unless you have called a company inquiring about computer issues, they will NOT be calling you to tell you your computer is infected!! Most legitimate companies have enough incoming calls from customers that they do not need to call and look for work. At least hang up, and contact the real company yourself.)
I told him I would go have it checked out myself. He continued to insist that this was a problem that a regular technician could not fix. I asked him to repeat his company's name. Once he stated he was calling from a Microsoft office based in LA, I promptly asked him if it is normal to report to work at 4 AM, on a Saturday, on the west coast. He said yes.. Whatever.
Again, I told him I would have it looked at myself. He then said something about me currently using my computer, and said "You are on your computer right now, correct?". I told him no, and that I was going to hang up.
Sorry if I'm too detailed, but I do know some people may fall for this scam. I only got this far into conversation with the man because he woke me up, and as a recent graduate, my first thought is that it could be a call from a potential employer. So, I answer all phone calls... even if I am still asleep on a Saturday morning, and too groggy to realize it isn't a weekday so it is not going to be a call about a job.- Caller: Microsoft Technical Department (but not actually Microsoft)

- Godfrey C LeggettGot numerous calls from 3235225366 from various guys claiming to be working for windows 7 service center (mind you all my computers are still on windows XP). What really irritated me was one call came at 6am and woke up me and my wife (we are both retired and usually sleep in). I was really irritated, we have older sick family and friends and calls at 6am are never good news. I of course refused to co-operte with these clowns, I knew it must be a scam. The last call came about an hour ago, I told the guy to take me off his call list and that I knew it was a scam. Told him not to call me again, ever....Why can't the government shut down these scam scumbags.
- Caller: windows 7 service center
- Sleepy in TennesseeThis idiot called me at 5:57AM this morning Central Standard Time here in Tennessee. Caller ID said Pomona, CA, which would make it 3:57AM local time in California. Idiots!1
- KelleyThey called about viruses on computers. When I informed that we are home without any computers, the reaction was priceless. . . This is my new go to response. . .
- RodThis I believe is a group that calls themselves Iyogi support. They have a very heavy Indian accent, almost to the point of not being able to understand.I ( being nieve at that time) paid them to "clean" my computer. Cost me like $279.00 for what was supposed to be a 1 year subscription. Then every 3 mos they would call and want to clean again and want more money. I was not a fool the 2nd time. I questioned them and they put me on with his supervisor , which was just better at arguing. After all was said and done and raising my voice to him many times and him to me many times , he gave up and has not called back til recently. Now I know his # and googled it and I am waiting for his call again. I will put him to the test now.
- Caller: IYOGI
- RodAlso when I try to call the # back it has been disconnected or is no longer in service. Who can I report this to that might be able to do something to help prosecute these idiots>
- PaulI got a call from this number saying my computer was causing viruses. I knew it was a phishing scam when he didn't know what he was talking about. I hung up.
- DKD| 1 replyI received a call at 5:56am yesterday morning from a foreign man claiming to work for Microsoft Service Center and that my computer was downloading virus that would crash my computer within days. He stated that I needed to go to my computer immediately as this was an emergency and let him help me save my computer. When I told him I would do some checking on this issue he hung up! This is a scam! Do not open your computer to anyone...
- MarshaI just received a call at 5:54am. This is February 3rd 2014. He spoke boken English with heavy East Indian accent. He claimed to be with Windows and this was an emergency. I hung up.
- marsha replies to DKDThis is exactly what I was told.
- GBGot a call from this number at our home at 5:45 am. No one on the line when we picked up. When I called back from the land line, I got a message that the call can not be completed as dialed or the number has been disconnected. When I tried the number from my cell phone I got a fast busy signal. Call ID only said Los Angeles, Ca.
- DLApparently, a year later, this person or people are still at it. I got a call at 6:00 AM this morning form someone whose accent was so thick I couldn't understand him, but he kept saying he was calling about my "Com-poo-tur". No one from a legitimate business calls anyone at 6:00 a.m. and I told him so. The call was from Los Angeles, so that meant it was 3:00 a.m. where he was. Idiot. I told him he was full of crap and hung up.

- JOSEPH G HAGEDORNHello, hello (with heavy) accent. Calls are in the early morning hours, does not leave message on answering machine except hello, hello. Other callers have reported on 800notes.com about this calling number's representatives calling at early morning hours, like 5:00 a.m., saying they are from Microsoft and that they want access to computers to eliminate viruses. A scam.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BryanI wish I was home when they called, I'd love to mess with them. I think these scammers call you early and know they might be waking you up so you won't be as quick to realize that they are scamming you.
