Guy said he was Nick Flemming contacting me about a loan I had had in the past. I told him I've never had a loan in my name. He got angry and said I was lying. When I assured him it was true, he threatened me with being arrested and then hung up on me. My cell phone isn't even in my name... But he still had my PO Box correct. I figured it was some sort of scam. Scary though that he had my address and k we my name.

I got the same thing.  He said he is an officer in the financial division and if he doesn't hear back from me I need to get a lawyer and bail money.  How this guy got my information is what I want to know.

I just got off the phone with "Office Nick Flemming" about a loan I had had in the past.  First red flag, my address was correct EXCEPT for the zip code.  Secondly, while we were on the phone I was Googling the "Financial Crime and Investigative Bureau" and there is no such office as far as I can see, but the phone number came up as a phone bot.  Thirdly, he could not tell me which company it was and for how much.  It does not surprise me that he had MOST of my address and my email address.  With everything on the internet, it is too easy.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!  If it's not a scam, I'll let you know when his officer shows up to arrest me.  LOL!

I also just got off the phone with Officer -Nick Flemming, from some financial division... who also told me I owed on a loan.  The call is coming from Texas and I live in the NW.  Plus, I do not owe on any loan. So this is definitely a scam.  He did also say he was having me arrested.  I told him to go for it!!
Think about it!!  This is America and there is no such thing as Debtor's Prison.  So hang up! Googled it :  Debtor's prisons were abolished in the United States in 1833. Until that time, failure to pay what you owed could and did land you in jail. And debtor's prisons added a nice touch -- not only were you forced to pay your debt, but you were also forced to pay your prison fees.
Besides as I said I do not have an unpaid loan.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Yes I also got a phone call from him. Same thing he is accusing me of taking a loan and not paying it. He said he will send me to jail. And when I asked him , what office is this and what loan? How did it happen and when? He cannot tell me and he hanged up the phone. I returned call to  that number and a lady answered me. She said, "did you not remember you got a loan"? I said, "No, I don't have a loan"! And she hanged the phone too.

    Concerned Friend
My best friend texted me today really scared after she received a phone call from a guy with a Islamic accent who told her she had a loan she needed to pay. That he was with our small town FL police, he told her he knew where she lived along with her email address and he would have her arrested. When she tried to explain she never took a loan out in her life he hung up. She was really scared. Once I discovered and told her it was a scam call she was at ease but was very angry someone got a hold of her personal information and harassed her. She said if she finds out who it was she wants to press charges!
