 I received a few calls from the above number and an Erin Thompson.  I am in a program paying for any
out standing accts I have at present.  I do not wish for any of these calls.  If need be I will have an attorney
take care of this person and have charges brought against him!!

Just had a phone message left with basically the same info as above.  Steve Johnson from the Federal Trade Commission said that very serious allegations had been made against my name or social security number.  He warned me to not ignore his message and to call him back at his department, 347-441-5990, extension 109.  I will not be calling that number.

I received a call on Friday from Officer Aaron Thompson stating that if I did not return his call i would be facing
serious actions against me. This man had a very strong accent and i could not really understand him.  He
told me that I needed to give him 450.00 dollars to pay off a debt to keep charges from being filed against
me and 800.00 if i needed a payment plan.  When I began to question this man he became very upset and stated to me to tell my children that there mother is going to jail and they will never see me again and then hung up on me.  before hanging he also said that the authorities will locking me up within 4 to 5 days.

They have been calling me for a week,trying to get $800 saying their going to lock me up have me fired! These people need to be stopped! Please report!!

These people just left me a message saying that he is officer steve johnson that needs to talk to me about a matter. He don't speak good english. someone should do something about people being able to get out info. oh yeah, I'm not calling these jokers back

This number called for my boss who no longer works here and started asking many questions like how long he had been gone, he also said he was a federal agent and this was a very urgent matter about a false affidavit that was filled out. Me and my coworker googled the number and this is the response that came up, he said his name was Aaron Thompson and he called from 3474415990 number we called the number back and someone other than "Aaron Thompson" transfered the call with alot of background noise as if they worked in a call center. First of all if a police officer wants to warrant an arrest for you he is not going to call you about it, he will first send out the warrant to your door and then take action. This is a scam people, dont be stupid.

This number called me telling me they were from the Federal Trade Commission and they had received complaints about my SSN and could be taken to court, be picked up and loose my job if I ignored this phone call or didn't have my attorney call them back for me. So I call back and when I ask where my attorney could send correspondence the guy refuses to answer any more questions or give me any more information. He called himself Officer Eron Thompson. So I called the FTC and they say that they NEVER call people especially to threaten with police, court or unemployment. They just had me file a complaint. The number calls me back and when I told them that I just spoke to the actual FTC. The guy started yelling, cursing and being very vulgar. He then proceeded to leave vulgar voice mails about his genitalia. These people are frauds. Don't give them any information.

I too got a call from a Steve Johnson from the FTC. Saying they had a case against my name and social security number. He went on saying threatening things. How can I stop this?

I have been receiving phone calls from this number to threaten me and harass me.  I have already been scammed and I don't need this in my life.  

This people tell you, your and your social security number have been accused of not paying an online loan (which I have not done). of theft by I don't know what and something else.  I made them repeat several times because I did not understand hardly one word of what they were saying.  It is very upsetting to have someone call you and threaten you with all sorts of things.  I am disable and I don't need this.  Plus in the threats they tell you they are with the FBI.

Where can I call to make an official complaint.  I have my number blocked from marketing, sellers and all those kinds of phone numbers, but they still get my number and get trough.

got the same call today.  Gave me a case number.  Called back got the same as above.  Didn't sound right so I called the FTC.  They took a complaint as will work on it.  Also to call state attorney general and file a complaint.

Oh yes, I got a call from him a Ryan Smith and other’s all with an Indian accent trying to scare me.  Once I told them that I have reported them they hang up.   Now if you call 347 441 5590 for Mr. Thompson the voice mail message has changed.  Maybe because I have been leaving him prank messages and told him where to shove his toy badge and if he wants money all he has to do is prostitute his mother.  Yes, my last comment is offensive but I know that will get to him.

I received a call this morning and one at my work , on my cell and home!! He states that he is Alex Cooper , he has a very heavy accent and told me I have 3 allegation against me from the Federal trade Commission and I do not need to ignore this!! I have blocked this number from calling my phones!

I have been dealing with this Aaron Thompson all afternoon. If they harrass you, you can call your attorney general for your state, and call social security administration if you are concerned about them having your social security number. Because this person is calling out of country using routers to use our numbers it is like finding a needle in a hay stack. Be assured the REAL Federal Trade Commission is investigating as well as your state's Attorney General. But that is all they can tell you. They are asking you to not answer, ignore their calls and do not give them ANY information. The threats they are making LEAGALLY in the US they can not to ANYTHING to you, they can't garnish your wages or have you arrested. Rest assured they are doing all they can and get calls from people like us on a daily basis. Hope you find some of this helpful.

This same guy called for my dad said he owed $500.. when I made believe I was going to pay it with my credit card he said I had to go to WALGREENS and call him once I got there.  So I waited a while and called back and he told me to find a VANILLA RELOAD CARD. I'm guessing to put the money in then give him the pin# and load his card I hung up and called the ftc with the info. I hope they carch his ass.

This gut ( Aaron) from the FTC just told me I should send my mother, my sister, and my brother so he could show them what a real man is like by ( insert expletive here) them! The proceeded to cal them all B&^%'s. Then to I should come see him at 150 Williams Street in Brooklyn, New York so he can beat me up! This would have been insulting if it wasn't so entertaining. Oh yeah....he then threatened to send our personal info all over the place to screw over our lives. Avoid this idiot! Submit complaints to your city PD. Enough complaints and they will look into it! Santa Clara County is looking at him now!

called and said pay or i would be arrested today!  his name was "Officer Arron Thompson"  he can't pronounce Arron Thompson   Dont send money!  Don't call him back!  

Tonight when he is having dinner with his family, he can say that he has to steel from good people to make a living.  his family must be soooo proud!!  YUK   YUK

I got a call today from 347-441-5990 and the heavy accent man said his name is John Walker so this must be a new name people there are using since I havevn't seen this on the other post on this site. How does this person know my phone number, he even called my direct line at work?

I got this same man only his name is Officer Aaron Thompson of the FTC (baloney) and he sounded Pakistani to me but what do I know? He actually spoke to my boss and told him I was committing fraud and that if he (my boss) doesn't do something than people will be arrested. Fortunately, my boss is pretty cool and took it all in stride. My attorney says there is nothing we can do because he is not calling from within the United States, so he knows he's untouchable from any legal ramifications. If you're getting calls from this person at your employment, just tell your supervisors about it. You can't be fired for being harassed by a fraud.
