Qwest offers selective call rejection.  You  can block area codes, six numbers or all nine numbers.  You might want to call Qwest.  I have Qwest and this stops the calls.

Just got a call like that, and her first words were to ask me to confirm my address.  I had to ask who she was, and she said she was calling from "online" something, but she was hard to understand with her accent.  She said I was an existing customer, and I asked her to repeat it, and I still couldn't understand it.  I think it probably was "online green pages dot net" now that I see the same in jmm555's post.  I told her that I didn't recall initiating any relationship with any on line listing service, and she hung up.  Very annoying.  I'm about to drop that phone number, anway, because Qwest can't seem to get a service request completed for me, or tell me why they can't.  So maybe that will be the end of it (knock on wood).

I recieved a call from this number from an indian guy asking the same thing @ 11:33AM in CA, that he was trying to update our business information, I didn't want to be rude so I told him to call back and speak to the manager, he was really persistent and just kept going on and on....eventually I ended up hanging up on him...the caller ID shows as "NEW YORK"....ugh! so annoying!!!!

I am a business. The company calls me many times a week. I tell them I am not interested and not to call back.....they call back the next day.

We have been getting persistent calls from this #, no one on the line if we answer, no one answers if we call back. Verizon tells me they can't do anything. These calls have been reported multiple times to do not call list. There otta be a law!!!!

Run your phone line through your computer modem then from your modem to your phone. download a free program called Phone tray Free
and block any numbers you wish permanently. I own a small home based business and have been blocking these persistent callers for years. I also think that there are several other free programs on the web that do the same thing

this woman who speaks total gibberish has called 5 times today.  I told her she doesn't make any sense and to stop calling but the calls keep coming - caller ID says New York

The calls started about a week ago -  caller ID says New York.  They call our business land line several times a day; so far, no one has been on the other end.  This a.m., the 1st one came in at 7:19 a.m., the 2nd at 7:32 a.m.  Who are these people anyway?  VERY annoying.  (We are also on the 'no call list' and have been for years - some good that does, huh?)

Intrusive phone calls all day long -- five or six per hour!

We just put calls like this on-hold.  They don't seem to know how to get out of it.  When we need the line we just turn it on again and they disappear and don't call back.

Claim they are calling to verify our annual internet advertising. Very bad and noisy connection. Deliberately asked them to call back and she said - "I can't call back until I verify this information."  A legitimate company would have apologized for the poor connection and called back.

Have been getting multiple calls per day from this number to our business line.  A woman asks to verify our address and business listing, and hangs up if I resist.  The caller ID lists "New York" as the caller, and the woman identifies herself as with the Green Directory Pages.  Probably a scam, and mostly this just annoys me and ties up our main business line.

Repeated calls (over 4-5)  within the hour at a number we do not use for phone calls.  Prefix is out of New York.

i think they are hitting Tacoma, WA today because that is where I am as well.

I am in WY and they are hitting here, and have been for the past two weeks. They say, in a very thick east indian accent, we have an account with them and they are doing an annual check to make sure our contact info is correct, and then I ask what their name is and they say onlinegreenpages.net. I tell them we do not have an account with them, and they insist we do. I had to hang up on them several times, threaten lawyers, and insist that they hang up, very loudly. When I call their phone number back, it says they were calling to do an enviromental survey, but when we didn't answer, they moved on to the next company and the line disconnects, not allowing me to talk to anyone. The times they say it is free, I remind them there is nothing free in this world, so who is paying them. They refuse to tell me saying that is none of my concern, and I told them it is my concern, since we supposedly have an account with them. I, for one, and apparently not the only one, am totally sick and tired of them calling and wasting my time.

They call my employer repeatedly every day.

Got the SAME as everyone else. Who the #$^@ are thede people.  No message left, just hang-ups and sometimes an hour or two apart.  Been going on for quite awhile.  ANNOYING to say the least

They're at it again today!  5 calls from this number in the last 12 hours.  Never leave a message.  Sometimes ask for a name; call back regardless of being told they have the wrong number.  I have no idea what they want.

The same Indian call center has been calling me many times (6 yesterday, 2 today) and today someone did speak when I answered the phone.  They said were calling to update business directory information for an environmental online directory called "Online Green Directory"

I got from this web site their toll free number (866-964-0489). When I called and got to the technical help desk (option #2) I explained that I was receiving telemarketing calls and asked to speak to a supervisor.  He was very helpful and admitted using Indian call centers but said they were meant to be only calling business numbers.  I asked the customer Service manager to remove my name and home number from their data base.  Lets hope he does that!

Many calls from this phone # per day. No one on the other end. Very, very annoying!
