This number has called our business SEVERAL times in the last few weeks. We *69 the number and 347-640-5163 which is the same number that has hung up on all of you. They call and you can't understand a word they are saying and you are thinking they are calling about a phone system and need a verification of address/number/name/name of company/occupation....IT'S A SCAM!!!  Do not give them any information and do not verify anything they say!!! You know it's a scam because your listings go through your local telephone company not an outside company. I got a phone call from them and I hung up on them because I couldn't understand a word they were saying and they called back and screamed at me and just needed a verif. number. I kept telling them they needed to call our Coorp. office and they kept refusing to. They are now calling our office and hanging up on us. BE AWARE OF THIS AND DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION OUT TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is EXACTLY what happened to me on 1/19/11!! I just wrote a post today on the same situation!! That is so freakin' weird that this is happening to others!!

I, too have been recieving calls from this number.  It lists as from New York.  When I answer, it hangs up.  When I called the number, I got a canned message that said this was about a business survey regarding "green" practices and that they were able to talk to someone else.  Unfortunately, it keeps ringing. Five times today so far and four yesterday.  This is my business phone and I DO NOT have time for this foolishness!

I've been gettign unwanted calls from these guys too.  It rings and hangs up when i answer.

This phone number keeps calling me and when I answer the phone they hang up. I run an inhome daycare and this is the 8th phone call I have received in 4 hours. I'm fed up!They say it's a survey and yet they continue to call. They are based out of New York or it just comes across my caller ID New York

Yeah, I got one too.  When I saw the caller ID I punched the "Block" button on my phone base unit.  never hear from THOSE turkeys again......

I am in South East Texas and I have gotten a call from this number dozens of times over the last few weeks. ( 5 times yesterday in 1 hour) . The first time they called me they said that they were doing a survey. I told them that I don't do surveys and hung up. I feel like it has been payback for my hang up on them. This is also my business line and takes time away from my customers.

We had this exact situation at our place of business. They bullied my employee into the automated system, and then started asking him personal questions at which point he hung up. They have called back here every day for a week about 15 minutes apart  from 6:45am. I am going to contact Quest to see if I can block this number! Thanks to everyone for sharing...this info has helped greatly.

Tele company rpts it is a non number....could be a computer (non fax) and someone is sending a msg to the wrong number.  Hopefully they will wake-up to the fact the msg is not going through and dbl check the non successful number.

Thank you Artful Dodger for sharing your solution.  I too have been receiving these phone calls, and I called the number you listed  866-964-0489  Option 2.  Spoke with a person who spoke English very well and said he would let his supervisor know to put my number on the "Do Not Call List".  How does this sort of thing happen, and how can it be allowed to go on for so long?!  We are on some "Do Not Call List", but apparently that one did no good against these yoyos.

I called them back and a recording said "the call you received was in regards to a business survey.  Since you did not answer we got in touch with someone else.  Thank you and have a nice day."

they say nothing, and leave no msg

I got the same thing like 3 day in a row when I answer IT just hangs up on me in 10 sec who the he'll is this unknown person
