Did you ever hear back? I got the same call this morning.. the guy knew my name and was threatening an arrest and warrant, to block my SS

Well that person posted here last year and I doubt they will be stopping back.  Debt is civil.  No one gets arrested, no scummy debt collector can issue warrants and no one can block your SS#.  This is all common sense.

Whenever someone tells you that they are a "lawyer" or that they work for a lawyer or law firm, the first question you should ask is what state(s) they are registered in and their BAR number for that/those state(s).  Then go to that state and check them out, contact them directly using the information in the state registration, as these crooks have been known to research real law firm names and attorney names and impersonate them.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

I got the exact same call on my voicemail

Here it is October 20,2021 and I got the same call from Kevin Jones saying the exact same thing. Did anything become of it for you?

October 2021 and I received the same call today!!!!

This is a scam. The email said it was a bill from one of my doctor's. It was not. If you get an email with this phone number report it.

I got a text from this number today. They said I owed for a payday loan of over $1000. It said it was Alpha Capital Law firm. I called them and the answering machine or whatever did not state that at all. I knew it was a scam cause they would never text you about the collection process

I got a text several times this week saying that I owed $1400 in a cash net loan. I never took out a cash net loan. I knew it was a scam so I played with them until I caught them red handed. They wanted to proceed with legal issues. I called them and left several voice mails, and finally someone texted back saying to call a number and they called me a mame instead of sir. I was like I am a sir thank you. They didn't know how to respond. I called the number they gave me and it was disconnected. I knew it was a scam then so I blocked the number and deleted the messages.

I received the same call from "Kevin Jones" who threatened me with a lawsuit. So i asked the Law Firm that he is representing and he said that it's Horizon Law Firm. I asked who are the shareholders of this Law Firm. He told me that he cannot give out the information. I asked as to what the reason for the lawsuit.. He didn't know what to answer. He blatantly said that good luck and that I will be serve through my county court. Again, i asked what is the reason for the lawsuit and he hang up on me. I tried calling back and he answered with my number will be blocked. LOL!
