I received a call from 347 80 95928 telling me that I owe the IRS tax money and I should call them immediately. this is a scam to get your money! do not call them back! the IRS does not call people

Listen closely to the English sentence on the prerecorded message. Voice says: filing law suit against you, not a" lawsuit against you, as the proper English would entail, PLUS... want you to call a different number, "secure" line as they need more inFOmation about you, not inFORmation about you! Well I love the proper English, and sentence structure is important as well as enunciation and diction.

call came from number 518-805-5928, CID said payphone, that was the first tip-off.  Said they were IRS and it was last attempt to call me and something about lawsuit.  It was a woman's voice.  How stupid do they think we are.  Bring it on

Got a voicemail.  Woman's voice saying it was the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me. Said to call this number. It was obviously a scam so I did not call.

Got a recorded call from 607-767-0057 telling me that the IRS is filing a suit against me and to call 347-809-5928.

I called both numbers busy signal on both - scammers

I received a call from 347-809-5928.  It was a recording stating that the IRS has a lawsuit against me.  This is a scam.

Same pre-recorded message.  Claiming the call is from the IRS, claiming it's the "Final Notice".  Call back 347-809-5928.  Total scam.  Tried calling back...got a busy signal, then line goes dead.  Don't worry about the call, just treat as any annoying prank call...block the number.

I received the same exact call.

This number left a recorded message that this was my last warning about a lawsuit against me by the IRS.

i received the same call saying it was the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me- to call them back as this was the last notification call.

I also received a call from 347-809-5328 with recording of final notice because I was being sued by the IRS.  Duh!  IRS has an 800 number they would call from anyway. They would contact by mail with official documents.

Got them thwarted.  I don't have an answering machine nor voice mail.   If I don't recognize the number/ID, the phone doesn't get answered.   It just rings forever.

The same scammer tried to get me. Of course being so close to tax time I freaked out. The number the fake IRS left was 347 809 5928. With a little research I found I wasn't alone in this case. I sincerely hope these criminals have been caught and haven't made a dime.

Actual call back number was 647-809-5520. Caller identified himself as (with thick foreign (Indian?) accent) Officer Jason Dean regarding  failure to respond to a CP 503 Notice (which is a legit notice from the IRS re: over due tax accrual account). Said there were 3 charges against me on my 2011 taxes and a warrant has been issued for my arrest. SCAM!!!!

Called numerous times today. Left voicemail but only recorded voice saying good bye. Decided to answers and it was a woman with very heavy accent. Could clearly hear others in the background also making phone calls. Hung up on her.
