got a call from this number, here's what I have started doing with all these scam calls...I urge people to consider doing this if you can. First understand that the dnc does not work, I did in 2010 provide testimony for FTC on  bogus car warranty but all they did was fine them and they just changed their name so the FTC is impotent in these matters likely because of the volume of complaints and how hard it is to track them down with this two party center system they use that also uses spoofed numbers.

I have comcast for my phone and can block numbers, blocking numbers though is not enough and I can block 12 numbers. I also have both normal call forwarding and selective call forwarding, the latter being the key to this. I took one scammer number that is spoofed (if you call it back you get the "it's out of service" recording) and blocked it. (I chose the one that called the most) Then I took that number and made it the source for my selective call forwarding and I add all the scam numbers to the list of numbers to be forwarded (that is the selective part of selective call forwarding). I can still use my regular call forwarding to forward calls to my cell as selective call forwarding is separate from call forwarding.

Now imagine if many people did this, when the call is forwarded it has the potential to tie up the line of the target number, which is a spoofed number and a scammer. I have yet to find a limit on the amount of numbers I can add, but when I go back and check my logs I see tons of forwarded calls..if you like the idea please pass it on...let's tie up their lines and strangle them with their own lines.

They left a message regarding selling a time share.  I have been keeping track of who calls me and how often.  With ATT you can block up to 20 calls.  I am taking the numbers that call me the most and blocking them.  I realize they will just use another number but so far it has been nice not having so many calls.  This number/company has not called me since I have been keeping track.  If I keep getting calls I will block them.  I will go to the FCC site and log a complaint now(although I don't think they have done anything yet based on other postings in this string).  The DNC list is a joke.  I am on that as well but it hasn't been helpful.  Stopping all unwanted calls is useless thanks to the people in foreign markets getting paid by US companies.

Got a call from this number at 2:20 p.m.  They left a message about timeshare sales and left this number to call back 1-888-881-0116.  I called and asked them to remove my phone number from their list.

Whenever I inadvertently open a website owned by Beyond.com while conducting a job search, I start getting these calls the following business day even if I delete the cookies from my browser immediately.  They are collecting personal information and selling it, which is against the law.

In a recorded message, "Brian" stated he was calling about *my* timeshare.  I DO NOT OWN A TIMESHARE!!!!!!  Also, I'm on the DNC list.

The number shows out of area and a recorded message says this is Brian and I can help you sell your timeshare.

I do not have a timeshare.

If you try to ask them not to call you, they put you on hold and say others are in line in front of you.

I hope they find these SOB's.

This number 360-322-6030 has doggedly called my home once or twice a week, and sometimes two or three times in ONE DAY, for roughly 8 months!! Last week I finally started to answer the phone. I picked up, had to listen to a recording about getting rid of time share fees and if I was interested, hold the line. I hold the line and wait until someone picks up. The first man was polite and respectful, told me he would take my number off the list and that was it. Now a week later the same damn number calls me. A man name John finally comes on the line and I explain to him that I had already asked an employee at that number to remove my number and stop calling us. He comes back with an attitude saying "You have caller ID don't you? All you got to is not pick up the phone. It's not that hard." When I begin to explain that this is MY home and MY right to insist he stop calling, he said "Just use that caller ID. God bless you, I'm going to pray for you, etc etc." That's when I blew and said, "GET A JOB THAT DOESN'T PISS PEOPLE OFF!" Man I wish I could find out who his boss is and blow the whistle on that cocky jerk. Thanks for listening

This is a bot - if you answer, it means you are going to get put on a list. And believe me, nobody gives a flying [***] about what list you're on, and here's why - I don't need to register my spam bot phone source with a telephone company or a cable provider. I can do it all online, through any provider in the world, who can give me an area code anywhere I like, just like a cell provider can. Don't believe me? Try Google voice. I have numbers in LA, Chicago, Detroit, NY, Amsterdam, Germany, and Denmark that all ring through to my cell phone with a local number on it. Anytime I want to make a call "from" one of those numbers, it's easy, and calls coming in are automatically forwarded to me without the caller knowing.
But keep on threatening to call the FCC or clamor on about some ineffective list that nobody cares about.
Meanwhile the bots of the world at numbers like this one just figured out that yours is an active line, and by answering it you just got put on a spam list.
Pro tip: if calls like this piss you off, stop answering calls from numbers you don't recognize. Otherwise the more you answer, the more they come.
