- SONNYINNYC replies to BCLIONDo what I do when they call: I tell the &*%$#'s that I owe $15,000 to $19,000 in credit card debt @ 15% interest ---they get very interested. Then I ask to please hold while I get my credit card statement and I put the phone on the kitchen counter. The maggots call at least once a day---it stops for a few weeks then starts again (die a slow painful death Rachel). My new plan hinges on the fact that they are wearing headphones - I think I will ask my son to borrow a whistle where he coaches H.S. baseball, "take a deep breath and let go" it might not do the trick --but it will sure make me feel better. I saw this response to Rachel in the New York Daily News Voice of the People. Search NY Daily News (online --when it comes up hit Opinion ----this is the best part of the paper and its free online

- MoeMy cable company also has a way to block up to 25 calls. I found this was not enough to block the unwanted calls I get in 1 day!! I purchased a new phone system that will block up to 250 phone numbers. I keep a database of all of the unwanted calls I get so I can see if any new calls are from people I really DO want to talk to. My home is much quieter now, but one of these days I will have used all 250 unwanted call spaces in my phone system. Not sure what I will do then. Maybe buy a phone system that holds more?
There are many phone systems to help you keep you phone quiet from unwanted calls. As soon as the call comes in it is banned so quickly I doubt it would even register as the call going through. (Of course I could be wrong about this).
I got my phone system from amazon and it was very reasonably priced at just over $100.- Caller: Card services

- DAVE MONAGHANI have received a series of calls from this number. I call them and ask to be removed from the call list.
I was recently told I need to cancel all my credit cards or disconnect my phone to get off this list.- Caller: 360 322 6737
- StonenoteThis number comes up and leaves messages on my cell phone cutting into my data time. I wish they would stop or someone catch them. I have now rejected this number on my phone along with 360-322-6668. It is Card Services scammers. Since they are doing robo calls they are not even looking as to whether you have a card or not. So it doesn't even matter. They are breaking the FTC trade code laws.

- Cheryl replies to Report Them| 1 replyI've tried the "do not call" block and they still call! I don't answer when they call.
- Anonym replies to A VoterLike most here, I have blown police whistles into the phone (they love that!), I've tried to waste their time by acting like I need help, I've put the receiver down when I've been put on hold waiting for "help," I've told them I'm very elderly and answering their calls is difficult for me, nothing works or matters. One day I asked the guy if he actually liked harassing people all day long and he got very cocky and said yes, he did. More words were exchanged and it was clear he really did like harassing and intimidating people. He then called me the next day, a Saturday, at 6:30 am and asked for my husband. I said no, he's sleeping and he got very threatening and said he was the IRS and to put my husband on the phone immediately. I said the IRS didn't call people on Saturday mornings before dawn and to put it in a letter to us and hung up. He then called back several more times just to really get my goat. I've called Verizon; they say there's nothing they can do. I've called my local police and they didn't even return my call. The "do not call" list does not work on these scammers. Even though the initial call may be random, that apparently does not stop them from becoming bold enough to call you at a later date and make it personal. I don't think they can personally harm your wife but they can make your time at home hell if they seek revenge for anything you do against them.
- Anonymous - ATL| 1 replyRec'd call (no msg left) from 360-322-6737 at 3:02 pm EST on at&t landline. Caller ID reads: CARD SERVICES.
Looks like a new number they are calling under. The other ones were:
360-322-6668 on 2/25/14 (msg left : relates to financial stimulus so press 1 now to take advantage of this today)
360-322-6685 on 3/7/14 (no msg)
Guess they have moved into new 4 last digits. This is the 6700 range.- Caller: CARD SERVICES

Actually they did leave msg and it was the stupid " relates to financial stimulus so press 1 now to take advantage of this today' - Kathryn54 replies to Willdav713The only problem with forwarding "all" calls from a certain area code is that many of the calls are being spoofed from my area code. If I were to do what you say, then I'd never receive calls from my friends here in my own neighborhood!

- rajGot pre-recorded message with only an option to respond to lower interest rates. I responded, got a male salesperson who I asked to put my number on their Do Not Call List. He said he didn't care about that. I asked him to verify what he had just said. He did, I informed him I receive many calls from their "service" and had requested to be put on their Do Not Call list before. I said if you do not, I will file another complaint with the FCC. He said something to the effect of he didn't care, called me a knucklehead and hung up. I called the number given on the caller ID (no company name except V032516185300014. It was answered with an option to be placed on their Do Not Call List. It didn't work, the message just kept repeating and I hung up. The calls have changed over time to ostensibly meet the FCC requirements based on the FCC complaint form.
