- NickieI just got a call about a vacation package that I purchased many years ago and never received. The woman I was speaking with said if I did not pay $898 right now then my case would go to settlement. She said she works for Westgate, Bluegreen, and several other timeshares. She said they had a recorded call of me agreeing to take the trip and do a time share package and even though I had never received anything it was my responsibility to have contacted them. She would not give me any info as to the company she was calling from or the marketing company that was going to contact me about a settlement. She only said her name was Ms. Johnson. She eventually reduced the settlement to $598. She put me on hold. I was trying to conference my husband into the call but it disconnected. I was so upset thinking I will owe $898 because all of the info sounded legitimate. I tried to call the number back and it says it is a non working number. I think this is a scam and I just don't understand how people can do this. The lady sounded like a grandma. "Ms. Johnson" if you are reading this, I don't know how you sleep at night!

- sharon replies to bzcindyI got a call from the same William Goodman today. First call I hung up, second call he harrassed me and said I would be put in collections if I didn't pay the $800+ for the vacation I didn't show up for. Never signed up for it, never paid it on my visa as he claimed. Would not tell me who it was with, just a marketing company. He told me I was acting like a crazy lady and needed to calm down. I was calm. He said he needed to tell me the options of how to make these calls go away. As he went through his little schpeel, I googled the phone number finding out it was a scam. Duh. Anyway, stopped him at that point and told him that while he was making all these offers I looked his company up which he said was My Booking Genie and the website of www.internationalbookinggenie.com and this phone was indeed a scam and then hung up.These people prey on others and they need to be STOPPED. His phone number was 360-474-3296

- TYI received a phone call today from 360-474-3296. Her name was Amanda Fleming Corp ID #4627. She said I paid for a travel and did not fullfilled the requirement and I am being charged for $898. If I do not pay, they will transferred my information to the Legal Expired Dept. That dept will charged the $898 fee on my visa/mastercard. She said my name and phone is on a fullfillment marketing database systems. She said there are thousands of these marketing companies that will continued to call me. In order for them to stop calling I will need to pay the $898 to have my name removed from the database. Amanda Fleming was rude on the phone.

The person on the line was a man claiming to be from the audit department for regarding a $99 charge and that I had booked a vacation package with them. He said she called to find out why we had not used the package – I told him we were not able to due to time constraints & financial situation. I told him I had to go as I was on a conference call- he claimed that I would be held liable for a $898.00 fee as he asked if I read the terms & conditions- I told him I did not recall & I don’t think so, he claimed to have a recording of the agreement & that this was very serious as I could be help liable, I told him if it was that important they could call back after 5. - omahacalls all the time asking for people that aren't me .... when I told her to stop calling she told me to get a different number and that she was going to keep calling ... then I got mad ....

- different number (844-236-1755)same scamOn May 21, 2014 My Booking Genie contacted me for package (trip) purchased
for $118 that expired. They said we OWED the travel club $798.00 USD.
Joseph Williams started the conversation politely, but after going
back and forth with us asking WHY we owed any money he started raising his voice and threatening
to charge me $1398 USD anyway without my authorization. He said it was due. I didn't know what to do and panicked.
They had an old credit card of mine, but after being harrassed for so long i just gave him the new card.
He said they would charge us regardless and we'd lose our package too if i did not buy a new
package with them so i paid with my Visa. Satara (Kimberly) Monroe got on the phone next (cooperate ID #6655) and read
something to us so fast that she was out of breath. We couldn't understand anything she was saying, and we told her that
(Which is probably apart of her strategy). I did not want another package. The vacations were too short and don't work for
us. Plus we're both in our 80's and can't travel much anymore because of health reasons. I tried to call them back after the
fact, but no answer. They haven't provided me with any documentation to date (no email or physical package). I even emailed
them for a refund. I want my money back. I've never purchased anything from them so i shouldn't owe them any money. I asked
numerous times who I purchased from and he kept saying "I don't know, it could be either..." Then he
started naming off different vacation travel clubs. I think they were fishing for information to piggie back off of. Scam sales tactics.
Joseph Williams was
so rude, and I don't even think they have any license to sell travel. They also told me a $1 charge from Liberty Insurance Company
would be charged first to "make sure." I don't even know what that means. I was forced into this and that's not right. Why do they take advantage of old people?- Caller: My Booking Genie INC

- Curmudgeon replies to JohnThat report was made in Dec, 2011. It certainly didn't seem to reduce the number of credit card, alarm and similar scams.
Get a phone that blocks up to 150 calls. The DNC is as useless as anything the government does. The best deal would for the telephone companies to block unwanted calls but they've learned customer service from the House/Senate so that won't be happening. - Amelia MasterThis number called me a hung up several times. I have put my name on the do not call list so I guess THEY JUST CONTINUE TO CALL TO MAKE A QUOTA OF CALLS PER DAY!This is really irritating.
- kathyI get phone calls from this number and also get them from 702-705-7090. Very annoying. I don't even answer them anymore
- DannyThey called, I answered, and nobody said nothing. So I called back the number and a recorded message said "My account had "0" balance and I'd have to replenish it. Sure right. Come by my house and you'll have to replenish your teeth after I knock them with a baseball bat.
- yolandaB S Unwanted solicitation.

- Garythey call on spoofed numbers. try to call them back and see what happens. I love answering their calls and getting them all frustrated. the last one that called they were calling from a 214-215 number. no such number when I asked about that he was....Oh...we are having phone problems. when I told him I was recording him to play back for the national do not call registry he immediately hung up.

- Viz216They called, but didn't leave a message. I have no clue who they are and I only give the number they called on to friends and family.
- RooHusband got a call from this number today. He never answers his phone if he doesn't see a name attached (I've trained him so well lol). If they continue to call I'm gonna mess up someone's day! I love clipping the wings off of buzzards. (No not real ones just phone buzzards)
- RickExpecting a call on my cell phone so I answered, mistake! Wanting to put a sign in my yard about alarm company, asked if she was telemarketer and she ignored my question and started with her spiel about safety alarm service. I hung up, thought telemarketing calling a cell phone was illegal?
- Caller: don't know

- RooGot another call today so I answered it. A woman asked for Shante, who, judging by the number of phone calls and texts we get for Shante, used to have my husband's number. I put on my best snooty voice and coldly informed her she had the wrong number. She simply said "my apologies" and hung up. Now they know it's a working number, just not for Shante. I so dare these people to call again. I will annoy them down to their last nerve and love doing it.
- Caller: She didn't say
- TexasGeek replies to Bruce NelonI you did do that would your number show up as the one calling the Police, BBB, Attorney General? My only option seem to be forward ALL calls or no calls. How are you able to selectively forward ONLY offending numbers? Is it even possible?
