Their machine talked to my machine, so the message was cut off at the beginning--it started with "lawsuit against you." I figured it was a scam, but this site is pretty good at finding a bit more info.

I returned this call (dummy) and spoke to an Indian gentlemen working from a call center.  He explained that we were being sued by the IRS for unpaid taxes btwn 2008-2011.  He said that local law enforcement would be 'coming to our door to arrest us'.  I started laughing and asked that he fax over the claim so that I could have our attorney give it a look see.  He hung up.  I feel kind of dumb for returning the call.

I have received 2 calls from mechanical voices, one a male and one a female, saying I was being charged with tax fraud from the Internal Revenue Services. I knew these are false calls. I called the number back and a woman's voice with a British accent answered saying the person at this extension is not available and to leave a message. I hung up. This is obviously a scam. I really am sure this is not how the IRS does business, plus if they were really calling me, they'd call from the local office and not from some area code nowhere near my state.

Message on machine said the call was from the IRS - Internal Revenue Services (plural). I called the number for the fun of it. The guy knew my name and address. He said he couldn't provide any info unless I verified the last 4 digits of my SSN.

I asked about their organization. He said he was from the Internal Revenue Service (NO plural). Even gave me his name, location, badge number, etc. He assured me he was in Washington D.C. even though the CID revealed Washington State even after I told him I knew about the scam.

When I asked him about the purpose of the call, he said he couldn't get into it until I verified my info (last 4 digits SSN), but he finally said, "so you can't blame our department" ... when I find out about my legal action, I guess.

Anyway, I couldn't get him to hang up on me. :-)

Same as above messages.  Caller ID shows "number not available" -- female voice left message stating IRS suing me, blah blah blah.  Call that number, which I did not.  Googled it and found all familiar blogs.  Can these people not be stopped?  Especially the one message about her elderly parents receiving that same call -- the elderly sometimes don't realize that these are scams.

Voice message left at our home saying it was the IRS and they were going to sue us.  Luckily I'd heard about this specific robo-call on the local news.  It is unfortunately, however, that any IRS call strikes fear into the receiver--even when it's a hoax.  Too bad the police can't shut this down.  I wonder if stiffer penalties for identity theft and this kind of fraud would help end to them.

Same as above.  I called back.  There was so much background noise I could hardly hear the person.  When I asked for a clarification about something he said, he hung up.  Then I googled the number and got this page.  I should have known not to even call back.  The IRS contacts people by mail, not phone.

Received the same call from the IRS claiming it was my final notice as they were filing a lawsuit.

I was informed that I am being sued by the IRS. Must return call immediately to 360-474-4713. I would like to give them a piece of my mind, Scumbags.

I received a call saying there was a tax lien against me.  I needed to call him back and he would help me out.
The caller made it seem like it was an IRS tax problem, although he did not specifically so say.  The caller did not identify himself or call me by name.  I deleted the call.

Indian Guy called trying to reach my wife  his name Nick Jones ID #1928 ???
He said that she owed back taxes from 2008-2012 for $2100.00
He said there is a warrant for her arrest if she did not pay. he wanted me to give credit card number and pay now for her.
I Told him to go ahead and Arrest her. Im tired of her not paying our taxes!! she needs to learn a lesson. I also asked him if there was anyway that they could keep her in jail for this charge  for a couple years, cause I need a break from her.
He wasn't for sure what to say. He said you want her arrested?? I said yes can you pick her up after 5pm at least that way I can get her last Check from her today, before she goes to jail because today is payday for her.  I am going to use her check to celebrate!!!    I also asked him to call me when there on there way to get her, that way I can get the Family over to the house to shame her lol.....   The guy was speechless and hung up and never called me back again.   I tried to call him back the next day to see why they did not come get that Darn wife of mine??  but Phone number was Bad.   Oh Well My Luck!! Guess I am still stuck with her.

I received an electronic call from 360-474-4713 claiming they were the IRS suing me.
I returned the call and an individual with a thick Indian sounding accent picked up claiming to be the IRS.  I simply stated to quit trying to defraud people and hung up.

Just received a robo-call from 360-474-4713 stating that it was the IRS and I was being sued for tax evasion.  I keep very good records, so bring it on!  I did not return the call because the IRS does not call!

I was told the sheriff was coming to pick me up unless I paid 1492.00 for all the tax fraud I committed

The same scam but my wife did call back and was treated to an obsene comment.

They called 4 times today

She said she was from the IRS. The recorded message said call 306.474.4713. The dots between the numbers was a sure give away. Foreigners only use dots between the phone numbers. I feel sorry for the gull able people who fall for this scam.
