Just like the other writers stated this is an "IRS SCAM".  The IRS never calls you on the phone unless you have left a message for them to call you back. They called me today at 7:45 am and 9:17 am as well as a couple months ago. Here in St Louis, Mo,  and the surrounding area this robocall has become more active recently after having been 'gone' for a couple years.  The 360 area code is around Seattle, WA, but could be from anywhere in the world if they have a 'spoofing' device!!!  A local TV station ran a statement saying the scam was going around our area.  And robocallers don't even need your specific number. They just have a computer start calling at the first 'real' phone number and keep calling until they run out of numbers.  Then they keep calling the numbers they find as 'active' and even sell those numbers to other scammers.  Don't answer the phone if you don't know who it is!!!
Tell everyone you know about this because the police and the Attorney General apparently can't do anything about it.  Congress is talking about a robocall law but it doesn't look like that will stop anyone,  maybe some of the callers based in this country!

Left message that IRS is filing a lawsuit.  I didn't return the call.

This was a robo call from Aberdeen, WA that stated they were the IRS and filing a lawsuit. The call instructed us to call them back and then they try to get you to pay them with debit or credit card.

I just got robo call with a 419 area code callback. Don't have rest of the number

They called serval times aday I am sick of it .

Called twice in rapid succession.  First time, number was withheld.  Second time number was shown.  Both times left message about IRS filing a lawsuit against me.  Did not return calls.

Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.  There’s  no way to stop the calls from being initiated. Calls originate in India and Pakistan.  They spoof local numbers.  They keep putting down   Washington State on their CIDs because they don't know the difference between Washington DC and Washington State.   Just trying to make you think it is an official communication of some kind.
