    Robo call recorded 19 September 2013 from (360) 861-6939
    Caller ID: Process CC Dep

This was a really slick call. The caller kept repeating "is that ok?" after asking me questions and I thought it was a scammer who wanted to record me saying "yes" so they could alter the recording of the call and make it appear that I agreed with them for whatever they're trying to pass off on me, but after a while, I realized I was talking to a robot! The robot is queued to advance in the call based on the respondent saying key words, as directed by the robot's questions.

I tried to keep silent until I was afraid they'd disconnect, then I'd say 'hello?' to hold them in the conversation.

I was trying to play with "Robert Green", thinking he was a real person, but finally they disconnected the call.

Here is a transcript of our "conversation":

    <me> Hello?
<they> This is Robert from customer care service. How are you today?

    <me> Just fine.
<they> The reason for the call is that we're offering relief for unsecured debt. Would you be interested in some financial assistance?

<me> Uh, what sort of unsecured debt?
<they> To be clear, when we say 'unsecured debt', we mean credit card payments, personal loans, and collection accounts. Let me ask you a couple of questions. Is that ok?

<me> Uh, how did you get my number?
<they> Well, I don't, I'm not in charge of the marketing, I don't know where we get the information from. What I do know is that we can save you a tremendous amount of money on your credit card debt. How much debt do you have now?

<me> Oh, loads, don't even ask.
<they> Do you have $8,000 or more in credit card debt?

    <me> Ah, easily, yes.
<they> Hey, it looks like you qualify. Well, hold on a minute while I get a consultant on the line, ok? Is that ok? <pause> Are you there?

    <me> Hello? I'm here.
<they> Is that ok? Great, I'm gonna transer you to a specialist, you're gonna be on a brief hold, so don't hang up. Is that ok?

    <me> Hello? Hello?
<they> Yeah. Yes. Are you there?

    <me> Hello? Hello?
<they> Yes. He'll be with us shortly. Is that ok?

<me> What did you say your name was?
<they> Robert Green. <pause> We need this information to continue. Is that ok?

    <me> Robert Green?
<they> Yes. Is your credit card debt $8,000 or more?

    <me> Uh, easily.
<they> Ok, that wasn't clear. Can you, can you say that again?

<me> Yeah, I'm seeing some very interesting things about you on the Internet. Looking up your phone number.
<they> Do you have $8,000 or more in credit card debt?

    <me> Oh, easily.

    <they disconnected the call here>

Same thing with me. Two or 3 calls a day with no one on the other end, even after allowing time for the caller to pick up from what is obviously an automatic dialing system. After saying "hello" a few times, I hung up but they keep calling.
The name appearing on my caller ID is also PROCESS CC DEP with no location showing.

I have received calls from this number 2 days in a row.  On the list here, somebody else has received the same call from this number.  It is from the Troopers Association?  I live 6,000 miles away from there.
What kind of ridiculous thing is this.

I have received this call twice this week - I don't answer the phone and they never leave a message.
    this is annoying and intrusive.

What can be done to stop these irritating phone calls that come in day after day, week after week?

What ever happened to the "Do Not Call Registry"?

Calls every day. I report it to the FCC everyday. I dont think the FCC is any more help than the "do not call" lists.

I just got a call from these slimes.   I luckily noticed the caller ID(1-360-861-6939 process CC dep) and didn't pickup.   Sometimes I like to pickup and see how long I can keep them rambling on the phone.  A fun thing to do is to get em really going, after a bit they will go into a long rambling spiel, when they ask you how great is that or whatever, then you simply don't say anything, don't make any noise, etc.   It never fails, they will get mad and cuss up a storm, at this time I start laughing and they finally hang up.   Other times I tend to get real cranky with them, shut em down fast, and tell em not to call me again.  Just kina depends on how I feel, today I don't feel well and am not even going to think about talking to these slimes, I wouldn't be sitting at the computer but I couldn't sleep, probably all the slimes calling me every few minutes.

If these slimes call me much, I'll tell em to stop calling.  When they don't(They never stop, telling them to stop usually gets more calls than not answering the phone.).  I'll then report them to my State Attorney General.  The State Attorney generals office will send out a letter telling them to stop calling me.  If they keep calling me then the State Attorney General will escalate their contact with the slimes and eventually take em to court.   Sometimes these go as far as a class action suit in federal court, and once in a great while they actually make the slimes pay a big fine.   So there is a tiny little hope in getting some of these slimes stopped from bugging people.   But with all the dummy corporations, etc. these slimes operate under, it takes a long time for the glacially slow wheels of justice to finally catch up with them.

Very interesting. I notice that there are many questions designed to have you reply, "Yes." That could be significant.

Undoubtedly a robot programmed to respond to keywords from the other end. The old lower-your-credit-card-interest BS. Quickly apparent that the voice on the other end did not comprehend what I was saying.

Call came in on 3 October at17:51..caller ID had NOT IN USE - well now, that is unique - first time to see that ID.  I have no idea what or who the caller is and besides, the phone only rang 5 times so the machine didn't get a chance to answer...

I just received a call from this number and the Caller ID said Process CC Dep and I think the guy said his name was Robert.  To me it actually sounded like a computerized voice activated thing.  I, too, like to play with these people when they call.  When he asked how I was, I said, "terrible."  He said he was sorry to hear that but he then started his sales pitch. I was independently wealthy and didn't need him and then hung up.
