- W.T.Automated message stating, "Take advantage of the stimulus package and reduce credit card debt. Press 1 to speak to a representative and take advantage of this offer." Asked the live person to remove my number from the distribution list, responded with "Are you calling to reduce your rates? I don't know what you're talking about, we don't have a distribution list. (Hang up)"

- spikerHad chat with the gentailman after pressing 1. It was him who turned the conversation sour, i believe i provoked him with an over use of the "like". I was taken back at an opp. To vent frustration i broke into distraught customer, topics included poor job choice, current state of employer, lack of supervision and his over use of "wow".stand by we'll chat soon

- Sarah replies to redclayhd| 3 repliesAs a former call center employee, I'd like to encourage you (and anyone else) to refrain from doing that. As fun is it may be to do and/or think about, it's not the representative's fault. There is a program/system called, "the dialer", in which the second a representative logs into their phone, it starts to make calls automatically based on a rotating list in the computer system. Believe me, it's just as annoying for the rep- especially since *no one* likes to be bothered by telemarketers!
- CueYet another "lower your interest rates" outfit....
A few pointers for y'all: These folks are scam artists. They are not going to remove your number. They do not honor the do not call list. These calls are virtually untraceable. They are using VoIP service and spoofed CID. And... Air horns and police whistles do nothing. Phone lines are volume limited. Sorry.
What can you do? Hit 1 to speak with a rep. Play along, give bogus information, waste as much of their time as possible. Ask the rep to hold while you get your credit cards, answer the door, let the cat out. As long as you sound like a prospect, they will hold.- Caller: Card Services

- pearlymaeJust got a call and I'm glad I did not pick up the phone.I was worried I missed an important call 'till I looked here.ID just said wireless caller.
- Fed Up| 1 replyRobocall from a spoofed number with important information about my credit card interest rates (which they claim they can lower -- for a HUGE FEE) and this is my second and final notice (except it never is the final notice is it).
Don't bother speaking to anyone. They'll only curse at you and hang up on you. Don't bother pressing any number to be removed from their list. You're only confirming to their auto-dialer that yours is a real number.
Hang up. Do not give them any of your personal information. They are crooks who are violating the do not call list and they need to be reported.
The government needs to know how many people they are harassing, so immediately report all of these scam calls to www.donotcall.gov.- Caller: illegal telemarketers

- connieThe people call constantly! It's an automated msg about lowering credit card debt. I don't trust any of these people and it seems all I get are telemarketing calls on my home phone any more! It's ashame, I have had this phone for 25 years and I am considering turning it off!
- Caller: lower credit card debt
- jtom replies to SarahIf you work for one of these unethical, annoying companies, then you are part of the problem. As far as I'm concerned, you can quit and find a legitimate job, or find yourself a good hearing specialist.
