- RightwayJust got a call from this number. They hung up on me when I asked what was the nature of their call. I am on the DNC list, but keep getting at least three boiler room calls a day. I go to the DNC list website under complaints and file on every number which I receive. I don't know how much good it will do, but couldn't hurt. I suggest everyone post complaints with the DNC registry.

- marthagot the recorded call saying ":this is the 2nd and final attempt to reach you about lowering your interest rate"...as I hung up during the speech. I'm on the DO NOT CALL which is a bunch of crap since they don't do anything about these calls as I complain to the list every week. This call came in on a wireless call so I thought it was someone I knew....really sick of these calls!!!!
- Caller: unknown...came in as wireless
- MackiI have received this call numerous times - when I don't answer they don't leave a message. When I do answer I know it is a telemarketer because when I say hello there is a long pause before they answer. I aways hang up but I would love these calls to be banned from my phone.

- AnonymThis number is a fraud group that tried to steal from you. Don't give them any information. They lie and try to trick you. They use a legal way of lieing about who is calling you with a program that hides who they really are and where they are calling from. The caller id has been changed to read anything they type in. I have had them put in a local business from my town.

- OnToThemGot this call at 1:01PM ET. Landline. I picked up/hung up softly without answering to break the call, prevent my ans. mach. from picking up and to 'confuse' the robodialer. Seems to help cut down on the number and frequency of these, at least.
There was a SCAM ALERT in our newspaper today about how these scams are targeting our area code (413) in order to fool people that its from our local credit union. Also SCAM TEXTING people.
I knew right away by looking at the number it was a SCAM because of the ZERO in the second set of numbers. ONLY AREA CODES are supposed to have a ZERO (or a "ONE" in the middle set, in the middle position. Thus the "0" in the "204" shows its SPAM.
Like everyone else, my caller ID said "Wireless Caller".

- AK replies to SarahIt's not the representative's fault? The reps are making illegal calls No one is forcing them to take a job that involves breaking the law.
- JeffI just filed a complaint with the FCC as recommended above. I get a robocall everyday. If everybody here did the same, it might attract some attention. Can't hurt.
- sksThis company incoming recorded statement offered me a better rate on a Credit Card from them. SCAM, SCAM. I pressed the # 1 to speak to a LIVE person. and told her I am on the "do not call" list federally and state and informed them that they are going to get an $11,000.00 fine which is standard for abuse of this violation. I asked for a supervisor and the name of the company. She hung up on me. BEWARE; This is a SCAM company trying to get your Social Security # and other personal information.

- Scott in north carolina| 1 replyOk people here's what you do. If you know the name of the company, Card Member Services for example, you get on the Better Business Bureau of Florida website and report their [***]. You then file a complaint on the website against said company. I did so recently after getting numerous calls from this number. I asked them to stop but they kept calling so I took the matter into my own hands and contacted the Better Business Bureau of Florida website. When asked to file a complaint I filled out the form, since I didn't lose any money by this call I filled in the amount lost with $0.00. Just a month or so ago I got a Western Union Money order in the mail along with a note from this company stating they would take me off their list. They also included a money order in the amount of $20.00! Did I cash it? You better believe I did! Try it! Maybe you just might get a money order too!

- db replies to cmeHi Folks,
RE: Form 1088B at above URL link for FCC - http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm?id=d1e37
Where to put which ph nos?
Tried to submit an offending number. Have several.
But ran into this so perhaps ya'll can help....
Which field does one put THEIR home ph no in and which one the offending caller's no.?
There's a field on the 1st web page "Telephone Number (Residential or Business):" that appears to be for My home no. If not and is for the offending caller how am I supposed to know if the offending call is Residential or Business?
Then on the 2nd page it says "1. TELEPHONE NUMBER: Telephone number where you RECEIVED the call". This clearly implies it's for My home no. also.
No where do I find a field to input the subject offending caller's no. I see "5. OTHER CALLS FROM THIS ADVERTISER :" but surely that's not intended for the main no. in question.
This is confusing to an OF like me, and I've probably overlooked the "obvious". If so please bear with me.
One other question: Can one submit more than one ph. no. from NON-related sources but of the same nature? I have several, as do many other folks.
TIA,
db - It's all a scam folks! replies to Scott in north carolinaHhhmmmmm? What is the name and number of "this" company. That would be helpful. But sounds fishy.
*57 to trace the call. File a report with local law enforcement agency.
Number comes from the do not call list. All telmarketers are required by law to get the do not call list. That list can be sold to shell/off shore companies or third parties. AKA criminals. That's where your number comes from. Google heather/ racheal from card services and abc news and you'll get your answer.
Best defense. Report as warn. All they want is your credit card info. - Long IslandDon't waste your time filling out the DO NOT CALL list. They only compile the numbers and do NOTHING! We should get rid of this agency and save taxpayers $$$
- dbHi Folks,
Tired of this crap...
Go here here...
http://www.humorhotlines.com/RejectionHotline.asp
If you have "Selective Forwarding" like AT&T U-verse, or similar forwarding service via online settings or "Star Codes" have the offending numbers forwarded to one of the numbers provided on the Rejection Hotline.
It's a real HOOT! Even better than "Blocking" cause it wastes their time and resources.
Then all you'll get is an entry on your 'Received Calls' log with 0 mins. Your ph won't ring and you won't be bothered by that number any more. Obviously if they are using more than one number [ not the norm from my experience ] you may get another call from the same company so just add it also.
You'll be glad you did...

- call to TexasJust received a call from this number, I actually answered. It was a message regarding "this is your final notice regarding your credit reduction. please press 1 to continue" I pressed 1, call transferred and a gentleman answered saying, "Ms. Vines, are you responding to our credit interest rate reduction as part of the economic stimulus?"
I said, "I'm not sure what I'm responding to, as I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST."
