Just another phishing scam, only these [***] mostly target businesses to get info to sell to scammers and other telemarketers.  we used to get as many as 10 spam calls per day until we started declining and blocking them.  They are down to about 2 per day now.

INFO USA - called office and hung up as soon as I answered.  Obviously seeking out individuals and not businesses.  Bad way to annoy people!

calls from INFO USA, which is a data scraper, info merchant responsible for large amount of unwanted spam and robocalling crap. need these scum fed into the chipper with ID / telecommunications protection laws.

These guys are the ones who collect info on unsuspecting people and companies and compile it into so-called "Sales Leads" lists to sell to other scammers - and they will sell to ANYONE.  Give these parasites anything but a prompt hang-up, and you will end up with a ton of other trash calls from every corner of the planet!

Repeated calls received from this number to our office. The phone rings once and the caller hangs up when the operator answers. Just a scammer attempting to get people to call them back. No legitimate company conducts themselves in this manner. Avoid this scammer.

“Customer Acquisition and Retention” in this case meaning they call businesses under totally false pretenses and place the info of all who answer on “Sales Leads” lists to sell to other scammers so they can call day after day with anything from inferior services to outright fraud – This is why they almost always hang up as soon as they hear someone on the other end.  About as far from “Valid” as one can get, these glorified hackers are not just part of the problem, but often the start of it as well. They are permanently on our block list and our overall scam calls took a nose dive soon afterwards.

I picked up the call and they hung up.

Calls numerous times a day and hangs up, CID used to say INFO USA, now it reads POTENTIAL SCAM.  So annoying

Called my number and then hung up. I called back and got their recorded message which cut off mid sentence.

402-836-3870 just called our business. Caller ID came up as "INFO USA". We've seen this name before, so we just let it go to the voicemail instead of answering it. They hung up and didn't leave a message. Blocking the number immediately.

Info USA (parent company InfoGroup). Four recent calls from this number, plus two calls today from 402-836-1159. Persistent pests, I've blocked these numbers and "Info USA" (that's what CID shows when they call. They apparently list businesses on their site; there are 6 recent complaints on BBB about inaccurate information without the business authorizing their involvement. They respond with the usual cop out: We get the information from other online sites, so if our information is wrong it's because we got it from them. They consistently refuse to take remove a business listing, with a list of steps you must take to be removed (numerous complaints say they STILL won't remove it - but when a complaint is filed with BBB, suddenly they're able to remove it. EXTREMELY SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES. BBB lists these additional numbers for them: (888) 999-0580, (402) 596-7649, (402) 930-3500, (402) 593-4640, (800) 336-8349, (402) 593-4600, (402) 593-4500. They also list these websites: http://www.salesgenie.com, http://www.infoGroup.com.

The real IINFORMATION USA is a fine company  selling all kinds of lists to businsess and people...I would be surprised if they would use a phone hussle.

Hang up call!

Another call that you stop what you're doing, which is mostly waiting on customers, to answer just to be hung up on!  Why can't these be stopped?
