Trying to get me to ship a craiglist item. For girlfriend's bday. Sellers beware.

Oh my gosh, I just got a text almost immediately after i posted from this number, thanks.

I had an item listed on craigslist  as well and received a response from this person wanting my paypal email so he could send the money, same story about wanting it shipped so his girlfriend will get it for her birthday. he also wanted my phone number, which I did not send, I requested his instead. And he also wanted to talk to me after the money was sent, his words were, "I would love to talk to you after I send the money". I did not call the number, but I am positive it is a scam, and also sure that he is a telemarketer. So certainly beware of giving out your own personal information, require they give you theirs first and then do your research. Seller Beware!!

Still at it. Responded with this number to a craigslist ad I placed today. A good rule of thumb in determining craigslist scammers is how they respond. If they don't refer to the specific item they are probably a scammer.

"Is your listing still available?"
vs
"Is the grill you are selling still available?".

I don't respond to any response that doesn't specifically ask about the item by name.

He now calls by listing the exact item, but still gives the same story. So beware.

I also got a text from this person after I had posted something on Craigslist.  They also asked me for more pics of the item and for my paypal info.

full of crap!! dont listen to Regina. I have "sold" and item to this person and got a fake pay pal email.

Got a text wanting to buy CL posting of a ring i was selling. I played along knowing it was a scam. They asked for a pic but i didnt send one cause i already sold it. so i said "here is the pic" and it worked. they sent a fake paypal email that I didnt check but said i did.

got text message and want to buy my product for his girlfriend b-day  listed on Craigslist and i knew it was scam and played along and that  sh**.  then i did not send my product ..

I have a post up on craigslist and James Andy gets back to me saying he wants to buy it for his girlfriend's birthday. Sends me this address via paypal

I just got an email from this guy as well, he's STILL at it. The funny thing is that I specifically said on my post 'SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! Don't even try to scam me because you will be wasting your time and you WILL be reported to authorities.' Yet he did not get the memo.
