- 405-720-0466This is an OK law firm that is a bottom feeder, as known in the industry. Basically they buy old debts, new debts-you name it. THen they shotgun out their letters and calls to intinidate you into paying. If all else fails, they will file a SUmmons to Appear - which you get right before or shortly after the court date. The judge or clerk files a default judgment since you didn't show up, and then they let you know that. The sad thing is, they do this on uncollectable debt, debts bought from non-litigation states, and debts that are out of statue for collecting. The suck and have no respect. Currently they are battling nearly 200+ claims AGAINST them!! SO...there you ahve it.

- Country| 2 repliesThe caller was male and very rude. He got hateful with me when I would ask him a question and then he was saying I said something I did not say. Is there not any guide lines these people have to follow? His name was Kevin Owens and he is a very rude man.
- Vee replies to Country| 1 replyATTENTION many of you who owe debts from credit cards and [auto] motor ect... if it was an ARBITRATION judgmnt you may have grounds for a release and if you push the issue you may be entitled to a refund of all youve paid.
An arbitration Jmt is when Jmt is obtained w/o you being officially served. Say you defaulted on Manhttn credit card, a few mos. go by by and you get a letter from a place you never heard of (thats possibly the arbitration corp) So you throw it in the trash..the arbitration then obtains an arbitration judgment claiming you are a no show and the next thing you know your being garnished $10k for a credit card that had a 3k limit.
TURNS OUT the Arbitration corp. had a HEDGE FUND with several junk debt byers, they all merged together and made tons of $$ .. and guess who paid?? You the persons who paid the collection lawfirms.
Google National Arbitration Forum [NAF] ends credit card disputes.

- J.GriffinI got aserved from the court in Pittsburg co. , ok and this Love, Beal & Nixon. Before thinking about it, I responded to the court in writing that I owed the debt. If they are such a bad company, why does the court allow them to file on anyone? Now I wonder what will happen.

- Jeff WaughThis is like the 20th time I've gotten a call from this phone number of (405) 720-0466. This is on a Sunday, I got two of them from them yesterday, no one ever answers, I try calling back, and get a fax tone. What can be done ?
- Simply MeThey are hardline debt collectors who will even take you to court for a summary judgement and a discovery in court, assessing all your assets, could follow. If you owe the debt, they can even attach your house if they can't squeeze any money out of you any other way. I plan to file bankruptcy and then they will lose every dime they have spent attempting to take me to the cleaners. Told them that was going to happen. Just biding my time until I am ready to deal with them. But do remember, my attorney told me they are good at attaching your home so be certain you check that out if you plan to file bankruptcy and have it removed at that time. After that, it is too late and they have you in a noose yet again. They will still have a claim on your home, making it impossible to sell until the debt is satisfied or their claim is removed. I offered them a settlement amount and they won't deal...want the full amount, including all their trumped up charges. They can go fly a kite!

- BigAYou will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

There are complaints and lawsuits against these crooks all over the internet. It appears they are tied in with Encore Capital and well known criminal enterprise the purchases junk debt and then sues people over it in the hopes they won’t defend themselves.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Also file complaints with the Oklahoma BAR Association:: https://www.okbar.org/gc/complaint/ - Joetta Butcher| 1 replyReceived a phone call asking me my full name, address and social security number, I told them I am not giving out any information to someone I do not know over the phone, she said she was collecting a debt, all of my debt has been turned over to Freedom Debt Relief and has been in their very capable hands for 3 years now

- BigA replies to Joetta ButcherWell it looks like their hands aren't very "capable" if you are getting debt collection calls. I'm guessing that they are keeping all the money you put into it and not paying anything out. Debt relief companies all complete scams when you consider that you could do the exact same thing they do for free. Wow! 15 to 25%? That is as much as the interest on that credit card you owe on. So if they settle for $5,000 then it could cost as much as an extra $1250.
- Debra BunchAsked for my phone number, address and social security number
Said this is an attorneys office, when I wouldn't give her the information she became angry and hung up on me.
I will be sending a cease and dissit letter.- Caller: LoveBeal and Nixon
