okay i want u guys to think about something the only reason u receive these calls is because u r either a timeshare owner or u filled out a survey. this is a real promotion u get to actually go to these places and the reason kendal doesnt give u the customer service number is because its his job for u to buy the package over the phone. my names ethan condry i am a sales representative for preferred guest resorts. If this was a scam to just get ur info then we wouldnt give u a refund if u wanted it. we also wouldnt hav a verification that has our names and voices on recording that u have access to.

    Hate being called
Got a call from this number... I answered it, "Hello".  All that came back was a female recording saying "Goodbye".  Then dead air.

No pain.  Oh... If anybody fills out a form at a mall, gas station, business... or anywhere for a free trip or a free draw.  At the botom ALWAYS include a prase that says "You may not use any of my information for marketing, sale, or contact outside this draw."  and SIGN the form.

IF we ever get these a-bandits to a level of court system, something like that would hold up.

I got a call from this number about 10 minutes ago.
Ha ha what a douche. The guy had this terrible Texan accent. There was a lot of noise in the background, as if it was in an open room and other people was talking too.
He was nice at first asking how I was and whatnot. Then asked if I was Mrs. Johnson? I said no because obviously I'm not.
He had a sort of snicker and said yeah yeah and then hung up! What a hole!

I called back and it said ext. 0542 is unavailable, please leave your message
But I hung up before it done that little beep for the message!

"Preferred Guest" is part of a fraud ring which has been illegally harrassing and scamming countless homes across North America.  The fraud ring believes they can mask their identity using phony numbers appearing under various area codes, including 407, 701, and so forth.  Unfortunately, there are enough people stupid enough to fall for this garbage scam for them to keep this campaign going.

This guy told us he was from RCI and had ordered scuba tanks.  Had our name and address and that he was sending the tanks and had our VISA number.  I cancelled my card immediately.  This guy sounds like a crook.

Last evening received call from #407-670-0542 saying "Hi, I'm Steve, do you still have the 2 scuba tanks for sale on E-bay?"  I told him "You have the wrong number" and hung up. I also tried calling back and was told the person was unavailable.  What recourse do we have to try to stop this person:

My concern is whether he is harmless or  trying to gain personal financial information.  Has anyone had a problem with that? or concerns?  Please advise.

This is a scam claiming to offer "free vacations" or similar garbage "prizes."  You will be asked to give a credit card number and charged.  You will never get your money back.  The so-called prize is a roach-infested toilet (no air fare included) where you will be forced to attend high-pressure time-share sales presentations.  If you don't attend the presentation you will be scammed out of more money on your charge card to cover the "costs" of your stay in the roach-infested toilet.

Don't be stupid enough to fall for this.  These pieces of filth have been operating this fraud for years under various names like "Preferred Guest Resorts", "Summer Bay Resorts", and so on.  The calls use phony spoofed numbers (area codes 407, 201, and so forth) and illegally violate the worthless "Do Not Call" registries.  The fraud appears to operate out of Florida, and the names and addresses of some of the excrement operating it have been posted here.  The actual calls may be dialed from some offshore scumhole, then forwarded to the Florida call center if someone answers.

I too got scammed. We bought one of their packages with free nights for $300. The first day we arrived in Orlando, they put us up at the Summer Bay Inn - a roach infested motel - which forced us to pay $$$ to upgrade to a condo at their resort! In Ft lauderdale, they put us up at a resort which was 1 hour from the beach, kept up waiting 90 minutes to start a presentation at 2:30 in the afternoon! and then tried to keep us there for another 2 hours for a timeshare presentation!
    Stay away from this company!!!

    Phone scam promises Florida holiday

South Australians are being targeted by a phone scam which promises a heavily discounted holiday in Florida.

The scammer claims to be from Summer Bay Holiday Resorts.

The American phone operator promises a trip to Florida and admission to an amusement park for just $1,000.

A victim of the scam, Sally Hunter from Blackwood, says the operation was very professional.

"I mean I was a bit sceptical at first, and I asked lots of questions and they kept me talking for what must have been nearly an hour," she said.

They even gave Ms Hunter a return phone number.

But after giving out her credit card number, she contacted her bank, who told her they were already investigating alleged calls from Summer Bay Resorts in Florida.

South Australia's Commissioner of Consumer Affairs Mark Bodycoat says he has had reports of holiday scams out of the United States.

He says the best advice is to never give a credit card number to a cold caller.

I received a call from this number but was busy and did not answer. When I returned the call it was an automated answering machine telling me the person on this extension was busy. I got a weird feeling and googled the number and wound up here. I know I haven't filled out a free vacation form, so I have no idea how they got my number and I am on the DO NOT CALL list as well.
