Contact the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (cfpb.gov), you know, the one that wannabe president dt and his big business buddies wanna get rid of cuz they help the regular folks. Give them a try, they helped me with an unscrupulous bank that was double and triple charging my son in law while he was fighting in the middle east.

My last apartment had a one year lease.  After almost 3 years they sold apartments to another company that immediately raised my rent.  I moved out after 2 months.  I never renewed my lease.  This company callwd & said I owed 3 months rent (penalty)

Possibly, depending on what the lease said.  Living there afterwards probably still means you are bound by the contract terms of the lease.  You will need to consult an attorney.  You may have an FDCPA violation.  They may be right.  This is why you need to consult an attorney.  You can find no cost/low cost attorneys by calling your local BAR association.

they have called me every month for over a year now asking for a Sean Oliver to collect a debt. i have answered the call a few times explain i am NOT this Sean Oliver, but they continue to call.

She called my cell for my daughter and wouldn’t tell me what it was for. My daughter said she had called before saying she owed money, but she doesn’t.

I got a call from this number located in Orland, Florida.  I have no business in Orlando, Florida and the man on the other end wanted me to provide my personal information I said no.  I ask what this was about and he just said it was a financial matter.  I said 'what financial matter"  he said by law he could not give me that info unless I give him what he asked for.  I said you called me and if you want to talk then talk.  He told me he is not going to play this "shinaghans"  I just hung up.  This is obviously a pressure scam.  I know what is on my credit report and I know who I owe and who I don't.

Just got a call from this number, wanted me to confirm some information before reading some "important" documents. I didn't confirm info since they wouldn't tell me what the call was in regards to and hung up.
