I was called today by a lady from Simmons Smith and Associates Law firm in Florida and she claimed i took out a 700 PayDay Loan last year. I asked her to fax me a letter or email me and nothing came. She was demanding that I pay it immediately. I asked again for the same information to be sent. I am turning them into the Tennessee Attorney Generals Office and anyone else that needs to be reported to.

These are nothing but scam calls!!

It's pretty funny that I received the same phone call today with almost the exact same conversation as other posters here.  When they tell you that they're collecting on a payday loan, ask them to send you a Debt Validation letter.  Most payday loans are illegal so they won't be able to provide you with one.  They also can't sue you or show up at your home to arrest you.  You need to tell them that they can not contact you by phone anymore.  If they continue to call then they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  Any LEGAL company will know this, so these scammers are just trying to scare you.  If they have your account info, I would close it immediately.  You can find more information on how to deal with these low-lifes at this website: www.debtconsolidationcare.com  Click on Forums and then Payday Loan Help...good luck!

I just recieved a call from the same firm and a women stated I owed money for a payday loan that I know I paid back. She proceeded to say well we have heard of these Indian PPl calling our clients and getting money from them and that if I didnt have a letter stating it was paid for I still owed them!!!! Of course Iwas in a state of shock so I told her can you send me a letter stating I owe this debt to this payday loan company with your contact info on the letter??? She said I have your email addrss I will send it there. What!?? I didnt know that is how PPL conduct buiseness these days. I have yet to recieve the email!! So she wants me to contact her by the end of this week to discuss the matter. Im not givin her any info than what she has..As they cannot provide me with necessary proof that I owe anything. If I have to go to court ,i will.

first of all people we are not a darn scam if u research and loan company people like u would say it about another company to so what ever and secondly we dont just ask for people to pay we try and figure out why our client sent your case to our office in the first place maybe somebody stole her identity and applied for a loan and we dont need to scam nobody because if we wanted to we have everybody ssn, bank account # nd routing #  so we would just take the money not call and ask u to talk ur money a bank robber does not call a bank and say hey can i rob you guys no they just do it so WE ARE NOT A SCAM yall just need to pay yall debt or figure out yourself who stole ur identity dont blam my company for ur debt not being paid..

What's your account # with my company so I can mail you out original documents no problem and who said anything about court?

You're lying she never said that our calls are recorded and I listened to your call with her and those were your words to my employee so if you're going to write about my company come correct with the truth goodbye

Well, do to the fact that all our cases are sold and brokered off 4 to 5 different times I doubt if the loan company you contacted was the one who bought your case so try again. Case closed.

The think is we already have your bank info and routing number and ur social security number and your address!!! So think about it case closed

I got a call from this number today 8/31/12, while i was returning a call from the attorney general because recently got scam out of 500 dollars, but i did not answer the call from 407-956-4210, so i don't know what they were going to tell me, but i don't intend on calling them back. I am still trying to get in contact with the attorney generals office.

I got the same call 8/29/2012, I don't know nothing about these people!!! I only owe my cable, cell & light bill... stop harassing!

I just got a call at work from Simmons Smith and Associates and he said that I owed money for a PayDay loan that I never even heard of.  Beware that almost anything you do online through any type of Pay day loan that they will sell your info to anyone for the right price and not think twice about it......I am sooo tired of these calls and emails from Scam artists and when will it end...

any legit company wouldn't waste their time replying to messages likes this, it's a scam, we all know it's a scam!!!! Can't wait til they get crooks like you case closed!!!

Doing some research just got a call yesterday stating they had a case against me and it was for a payday loan wanted my bank records. Told them to send me a fax with the info. And how they got my info. I wasn't sending anything because I don't have a loan with anyone. No fax yet.

You people are scaring the HELL out of me this is going to happen to me because I asked for a quick loan for a financial emergency????????????OMG this is crazy to think this is going to happen to me. Did u have 2 change your phone number and change your bank account???? Truly scared now!!!!
