Got a call from this number 408-222-4545 showing as in Sunnyvale number.  No response to hello but it says 'bye'.

Me too. Just a "goodbye" digital voice.WTH?

What I want to know is, if it's a scam, why do they not say anything? How can they scam you if they don't speak?

This is a message board for discussing scam and spam calls.  No one from here is calling you.  We can't stop the calls for you.

Get a cordless phone.  Not a cell phone, a cordless land line phone.   It has a base station that plugs into an electric outlet and the land-line phone system.  Put the base station on your night stand.  Charge the hand set while you sleep.  Carry the hand set in your pocket during the day.  Maybe you can get a younger relative to help you pick one out.

To get rid of this pest you can get a call blocker.  Ask that same relative to help you find and program one.

408-222-4545. Called my land line today. Answered but got no response. Just trying to see if I have a working line? Blocked it. Done.

Happy with caller ID. This number calls everyday for the past week.
After 4 rings they hang up and leave no message.

Called my Mom's house number and just said "Ms. AuntsLastName". I said "No..." He said "Okay then, is Lydia home?" I said "Not right now, can I take a message?"

He chuckled and said

"I wish you could."

And hung up.

Who are these F**ks?

When someone calls you, give NO information. The first words out of you should be "Who is calling?". Don't get the answer you want, then it's bye - click.

Left a message, just said Hello?  Hello?  Hello?

So tired of these calls. I am getting them every day. I have asked at least a dozen times to be taken off of the list but still keeps calling. There has to be away to stop this. He said if I want him to stop to just not answer the phone. Suggestions to make this end

Called on cell. Did not pick up, as it was 2nd call in two days.

Called at around 11:30 asking for member of household. When I asked what company the speaker worked for, he immediately became extremely defensive and refused to answer my question. Rude, abusive language. At least it was a memorable scam call.

All my ringers are turned off,all I hear is my wifes lovely voice on thr recorder,so scammers Scam Away...

Why does this call only happen on Sundays?

Got the call from this number 408-222-4545 but no answer or message. I was told by friends that these calls might be from crooks that want to know if you or anyone is at your home or not.

Received two calls from this number over the past two days.  Did not pick up either time and they didn't leave a message.
