phones land line repeatedly, leaving no message - obviously one of those people who claim to be Microsoft and want to "fix" my computer. I accidentally answered once, so said "Great. Which computer - I have several" but they could not ID the one they wanted, so I had a good laugh.

The typical "your computer is downloading infected files on the Internet and is causing us problems" scam. I had some spare time and wanted to play along but they hung up or were disconnected while in mid-sentence.

I keep a "Blue Screen of Death" image capture on my desktop for just these scammers. I will tell them I am sure my computer has a problem and agree to let them "Help" me. I then tell them I cannot follow their instructions because my PC won't boot. Usually after about 10 minutes of reading off the info from the BSOD screenshot and pretending to try things for debugging the problem, they get the idea and hang up. When I'm otherwise bored, I love to waste their time and possibly delay them finding a real victim.

408-454-5940 is a malicious Microsoft scam caller.

Male caller with an Asian accent (possibly Indian) saying that he was from Microsoft IT Dept.  I informed him that I had a DNC phone.  Secondly, Microsoft IT would never call.  And thirdly, if he called again, I would report him to the Illinois Attorney General Office.  This is a blatant scam.  Get out your bug spray.

This is a ROBOCALL - shows up as "Microsoft" on caller ID.  As noted by others, this appears to be a scam

They call so often I blocked the number. Never leave a message and I don't answer.

This is the 3rd time they’ve called and it’s California and I’m on the east coast. Nobody answers. So why call. I only answered out of curiosity now. Now they’re blocked. Apparently the “do not call “ registry doesn’t work.

Caller ID: MICROSOFT.  Yeah right.  Do not have a Microsoft product.  Anyways, Microsoft's support groups do not call you.  Do not know anyone in are code 408.  A....Holes.
