- I Know! Really!| 1 replyThis *can* be Apple. Or it could be anyone who uses Avaya for phone calls. Avaya is an IT company that many corporations (including Apple) may use for calls.
Go to Avaya.com if you want. They provide software and services for VoIP. - TomK replies to aeroYou are absolutely correct. I called Apple Support (the REAL one) previously and had an issue taken care of. Called again about my iPad and they returned my call from the number at issue. It is quite legit.
- anonYes to what Ella said - it is either someone representing themself from APPLE or they are from Apple doing things they shouldn't be. I can't discuss the details. Turn info over to FCC (?) or contact APPLE security. But watch it, they cover their butts and lie through their teeth.
- Caller: Apple or fake
- Basil GangliaJust received a call from this number, which I ignored initially because I didn't recognize the number. I then went here for more information. A minute later a call came back again, from the same number, so I answered this time.
It was a real person, who was asking for Lisa and thinking they might have the wrong number. Since there was no Lisa I said they did have the wrong number.
Seemed totally legit, exactly what I would do if I had a wrong number. Definitely not a robocall, didn't ask for any information. - Rt23 October 2015
This company continues to call me 1 million times through the past week. Similar to someone up above, I received a 'no message' call from this number today. I called the number and an automated voice greeted me saying this is, Avaya Messaging Services. When called, told to put in "the mail box number". I pressed zero and all it does it route you back to the automated greeting. Someone that is particularly annoying has called me every single day several times for the past couple of weeks and has never left a message. I wish someone would do it back to them!- Call type: Prank
- John LIt's not exactly an Apple number, it's related to Avaya, an IP phone that we use within Apple, so it's possible that it's legit.
- John LDid some more research, it IS a number we use, I found an advisor that listed that number as his callback number (although you need the extension number)
- KTThis number called my house twice at 10:48pm and 10:49pm. I answered just long enough to hang up the first time so it didn't wake up my family. The second time, she asked to speak to someone and I said, "No, you may not! It's 10:49 at night. Take my number off your list and don't call here again." Seriously!??!?!?
- JBThis is a valid Apple support number. If you ask apple support to set up a call back or appointment you will get called from this number.
- Caller: Apple
- EstateMan| 1 replyThis is not a telemarketer or scam--PERIOD. Following an issue with any upgrade on my iphone, I called Apple Support and I received excellent support an resolved my issue.
- DigiTech replies to EstateManDid you call them at this number?
- MSG replies to Jack| 1 replyIt is actually a call from Apple support. It was the lady who is helping me with my iMac problem. I actually spoke to her when she called me from this number.
- Anita replies to louis| 6 repliesit's obviously a fake Apple otherwise it would state you're calling Apple. Apple senior advisors give you an Apple number to call them with a seven digit extension number. If they don't answer, they state their first and last name to leave a message. This is a scam to get into your computer. They are using Apple's remote information and then you don't see their red arrow and they tell you they can't connect which they do connect to get your router information and wifi/hardware addresses. This way they can add software to your computer and even if you have it erased, they will be able to use Remote Desktop since they have your computer information. They also attach Bluetooth so don't use a cordless phone because they will redirect your call to a phony Apple.
- Maria replies to MSGIt's Apple. I called them and after a few days they called me back on this number.
