They just phoned, there was no one talking at the other end. It hung up after 3 seconds.

Same thing just happened to me.

Google scam.  They call from all over the flippin place.  If I don't recognize the area code I don't answer.

Get a large whistle and when you open the phone and blow you whistle as close to your as you can get.

It is illegal, but since when do crooks and scammers obey any law???? Legitimate businesses obey the do not call registry because they don't want to tick off people and shut the door on future opportunities - crooks don't even admit that it exists. Look at it this way, robbing banks is against the law, but there are still people who do it - just sayin'......

I just got a call from these morons - dead air, so I hung up and went to google. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could get their phone numbers and bother them endlessly??? ;-)

Automated voice recording saying something about our "Google" listing, and to push "1" to speak to a person about this or "8" to be removed from the list. I hit # numerous times as it will sometimes come up as an error (i.e. fax line) on the other side and you get removed. Reading some of the posts here, glad I didn't go further. Some days I like to mess with these guys, other days I have better things to do.

Automated call YOU WILL BE DELETED FROM GOOGLE so i pressed 1 and they want 499 US to save ur listing...They wont take no for an answer and wont end call so you can check them out or wait cpl days butt do offer a discount cause im such a good person.....SCAM, very high chance

As all other posters state, they do leave a message stating your listing is at risk.  Another number doing the same thing is 401-764-8032.

My biggest problem with this scam, is the multiple calls (even if left unanswered).  The 401# called 4 times in an hour and a half.
I truly wish that I could 1, know its a human on the other end, and 2 blast an air horn such that they go deaf in one ear.  Better yet, the cartoon solution, a hand emerging out their end of the phone which then proceeds to slap them across the face.

Complete and utter waste of business owners time - thank you for backing us up google ! Take our money and run. Why wouldn’t you spend a little effort stopping this madness.

Keeps phoning over the last few months - somehow all I get is Voice mail - and it says press 8 to delete.

they continue to call even when you tell them not to. 12th time since October! Why don't the phone companies cut them off?? "Google" verification or you lose your listing! I don't have a listing so....

This number calls my business at least once a week and I listened to them one time to find out they want money and they don't work for google they are a third party website.. They make it seem like they are google but THEY ARE NOT.. Google doesn't call you they mail you!! I have told them 100 times to stop calling and finally I got mad and hung up, he called back to try and explain himself and i wouldn't let him because I don't need an explanation when I know what they are trying to do.. AWFUL COMPANY who ever they are.. They never actually tell you..

SCAMMERS - either hang up or pressure you with lies about Google listings.  Total con men.

Called our office today -- without pressing any IVR options. When answered, I got a "Press 8 to be removed" message. Caller ID listed the number and "San Jose CA".
