Been getting lots of "stranger" phone calls labeled as "San Jose CA" over the last couple months. This phone number came is as "San Jose CA." [***], any Caller ID that comes in the name of a city, I hit the "block" button immediately. They don't get a second chance. If they were legit, send me a letter via Post Office. But of course, they don't know how to reach me by mail — that would be too much work. I am not a low-hanging fruit for them to pick. I am not one to allow a stranger empty my bank account into theirs. Don't fall for it. Scam written all over it.

I was called by this number early this morning and a man claimed that his company is doing bathroom remodeling for my neighbor's home. I asked the caller for the name of his remodeling company and he paused then hung up on me. I called the police and I was told for me to file a complaint against the number.

5:00PM yesterday - same routine - no message - JERKS!

Ugh. This scammer spoofs so many numbers and area codes. I never answer 408 area code numbers anymore. Just let my fax machine answer. I've blocked so many 408 area code numbers. This jerk just gets another number.

Multiple calls, but leaves no message.  Hides behind "california call" as ID.

Callerid says unknown, no message left,more tele-scummers..

Called and left no message. Did the same on 10/6/2015.

I got 2 calls less than 3 minutes from each other. First number 408-684-0367. The number right after 408-500-0671. I did answer and asked them not to call. I called back first number and was told it was AT Home Designs. They both wanted to give free estimates. Used first names. I turned both numbers in to do not call.gov. Get name of company. It is required.

How do we legally respond to 408-684-0367 from harassing us daily with unwanted phone calls?  What is our recourse?

received a call this afternoon with female talking about her family business for over 30 years. in painting, roofing, flooring, everything to do with a home.   She asked if they could stop by and give estimate.  I asked for her phone number and she would not provide it.   I asked for website and she said it is down for the time being.  I sensed this is nonsense and hung up on her.

3:30 PM - Same as March 13th - LONG dead time message and then hang up.  Such jerks.  You would think they would check on here to see what is being said about them and quit calling but, when you're a scammer with a sever mental disorder I guess you never give up.

1:40 PM - same idiots - same no message - same area code 408 BS

One call, no message, read the other comments and blocked.  My caller ID said Milpitas instead of San Jose as others have indicated.

11:30 AM - another area code 408 scammer - no message.

This goon calls never leaves a message, beware of this bums people.

I answered the call and the guy used my name, saying that there were records showing we pulled permits for our home.  So, he was calling to provide us with quotes.  When I said that we did no such thing, he said my address, which I did not confirm.  Then he hung up.
