received the same call 2x in the last 2 days. Total scam

Received two recorded voicemails indicating something about law enforcement, social security number and bank account freezing.  I googled the phone number and it looked like to would be a scam but I called back anyway.

Immediately without ringing a foreign sounding male answered saying it was the Social Security Administration. I said I was returning a call.  He asked who I had spoken to and I said no one, it was a recorded voicemail. He said in order for him to look up any information he would need my social and date of birth. I told him that was not going to happen and asked what information he could tell me. He asked me if I was my name which was an old name before marriage. I said I used to be. He said he  did not need to prove himself to me but  but he was definitely with the Social Security administration and needed my social in order to look me up. I told him I had googled the phone number and nothing about it came back to the Social Security administration.  He hung up on me.

I immediately called my husband who is in law enforcement. He indicated that if any federal agency needed something from me (or any of you) they would send a letter.

Also, after I thought about it more, had this person been from the actual Social Security Administration they would have known that my name changed several years ago when I changed it officially and he was using my old name.

It’s frustrating that they are victimizing people like this. Be smart and don’t give up your personal information!

I got the same call saying that my SS# has been used in a fraudulent scam, they will have to cancel my social security number and bank account will be suspended.

Received the same voicemail as stated above.
This was Right after I tried to access my online SSI account.i could not log in 🤔
I was at the correct web address  and my online Acct isn’t working.
I have a call into the real ssi but I’m at a loss as to how I got the call immediately after trying to log in

Says my SS# has been used in some fraudulent activity and that my SS# is being suspened from law enforcement and my bank accounts will be frozen UNLESS I call  this number.

I received the same message. I don't answer my phone anymore unless it's a number in my directory.

Got same call about someone using my SS illegally and that my bank accounts will be frozen and that I need to call back.

The recording just told me That they were6freeze my account because of fraudulent activity.
