Collectors not suppose to threat you!

No county clerk or government entity has anything to do with personal debt disputes, unless there is n active court case and that's between the attorneys, their clients and the judge.  Debt collectors have nothing to do with any government agency except to be regulated by the state they are in--provided they are legal debt collectors and not scammers.

This is total scam call.  Ignore and block.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.  If you can find them.

ID themselves as "Pre-Trial Services" which is scammer double talk for debt collector.  They use this term as if they were somehow magically going to take you to trial.  Debt collectors are generally not licensed attorneys and they cannot deal with the courts at all.  This is total clap-trap.  They are just trying to scare you.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

Stark law 303-834-5325 said I owed compass capital llc money but I don't ever remember taking money from them. Stark wants me to give them my credit card over the phone. Has anyone had this

Got a call with from this number 5012911947 (ARKANSAS). Said that I owe a past due amount of $1300 from a payday loan in 2011. Told me that the loan was originally owed $390.00. So, I asked if I took out a payday loan and I hadn't paid them then why wouldn't they call me and seek payment. They told me that I received legal notification at an old address. So, I asked where are you located or the creditor and can I have their number. She said no sir I cannot give you the number nor the number to where this office is located.  Then because I was asking so many questions she quickly said that I will receive a notification 7-10 business days. While I have not taken out a pay day loan, this lady didn't even try to verify my address. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!

Even more if you give me a summons my rights to fight it do not get forfeited as she stated. Moreover, she said that they would serve me at my place of residence or my employer. Ok....you don't even know that the place you mentioned I haven't lived there in almost 5 years and second you don't even know where I work!!!!......SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!

Have had 2 rounds of calls from people claiming to be with Location Services out of Jefferson County KY representing Compass Capital about electronic loan and threatening that I will be taken to court for criminal charges of theft by deception and defrauding a bank. Claimed to have verified loan, closed account with my bank, called my bank and just as I knew, no loan was ever deposited, no bank account closed, no attempt to collect anything. Calls from Chad Miller at 502-221-7063 in KY, mutliple calls from unknown or no caller ID, asked to call and speak with "legal dept" at 866-536-9402, strong arm tactics from people there trying to get me to "settle" to avoid charges.

Same exact scenario as mine.

Same exact scenario.  Wanted my debit card info to set up repayment on a loan I supposedly took out in 2011 with Compass Capital.  If I don't set up repayment I could pay over $2,800 and they will hunt me down.  Asked for proof and they haven't provided any.  Called from 8442508715.

Called saying i had a payday loan from 2010 and I was going to be sued unless i paid. I told them I didnt take out payday loans and I wanted the information sent to me to prove i took it out. The scary part of this whole ordeal was that they had my social security number and address. They stated that Compass Capital was the loan place. I kept calling back and they kept trying to get me paid and hung up on me.

They have done the same thing to me 3 times this week. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Please do the same at FTC.GOV

This company is BOGUS! they're using a company called PFS, phone number is 855-589-4561. Same story, for a payday loan from back in 2010. Knew my name, asked for SS number. Told him NO WAY! If you have it you tell me. Asked if I wanted to settle debt right now. He did threaten me will file a lawsuit. I told him you send me PROOF. Claims it should be in my email box.nothing there. Guess I'll wait & see if anything comes in mail.

Just got a call from the same company (Compass Capital LLC) telling me that I defaulted on a payday loan from Nov 2013 for $450 and they were going to come find me and serve me with papers for court unless I paid $650! I have NEVER taken a payday loan out in my life and the address they gave me was from 2008. SCAM!!!

This number called me saying I took out a loan in 2012 for $300.00.I never took out a loan from any payday loan place.They had all my personal information.

I receive calls from Compass Capital LLC daily stating I owe on a payday loan from 2009.  They have all my info; SS#, previous employer, closed checking acct info.  They threaten to take "final" action..  whatever that means..  They have been asked repeatedly to send proof of said default payday loan and refuse to do so.  They have even stoop to calling my 85 yr old mother in law...  Reporting to FTC

Same thing with me a few days ago. Compass Capital LLC and said I owe on a loan. Told them I would call them today after I did more research. Is this a scam???

855 593 2476 said I took out a loan from payday loan between. 2011-2012. They had the last 4 of my social.and where I work. But I wasn't even 18 yet in 2012

I have gotten calls this week from a company called MCO that have told me that I had a payday loan from compass capital in April 2012 that was renewed April 2013 for $450. They have threatened legal proceedings if I  didn't make a payment to them now. I told them I had copies of my bank statements to prove I didn't have a payday loan and stop calling and harassing me. I called and reported them.

MCO, LLC was the one that called me. I called and reported them, too.
