i answered and a recorded message said i won a free cruise...didn't listen to whole message to see if live person comes on line...wish i did so i could tell them their Mother is still on her knees making quarters & will be home later... don't know if telemarketer or scam for card numbers...can't call them back so i text them 'bl*w me' on DNC list...don't know if text gets thru but it doesn't come back as undeliverable

I intentionally don't have a message system so ignore these calls. I only answer if it's a number I know. Problem solved and they just go away.

once you get a live person on the line a really loud whistle works fine and should hurt for awhile or keep them on the line waiting for ' the person' they need to talk to,  i love wasting their time

Well I'm sorry to say that being on the do not call list will NOT prevent telemarketers (or anyone else) from calling you, though it usually decrease the frequency as the more "reputable" organizations will honor the list.

Everyone who answered the call - your little answers are funny, but ultimately you played into their hands. Answering verifies that the number they called is valid. It will be flagged as such and you will now receive more unwanted solicitations. Sorry.

Best course if action is
NEVER ANSWER A CALL FROM A NUMBER TOU DON'T RECOGNIZE, and DON'T EVER CALL THEM BACK!
if they don't leave a voicemail, they aren't legit. I'm really suprised that everyone doesn't know this by now.

Sorry, but the whistle doesn't work. The Phone company has limited the volume on the receiver ear piece, so it doesn't cause damage to the ear .

I cant believe the amount of people that have posted here. %93 repeating the exact same thing over a phone call that doesn't deserve a second thought. The first page of comments are sufficient for all who come along after.

why call a persons phone and then don't speak so please do not call my number again thank you unless you have something to say or just simply do not pick up your phone to call this phone number

I was called from this number 414-232-5011 at 8:15 PM on a Friday evening. I do not answer calls that are not on my address list. If I don't know who is calling I don't answer. They never leave a message.My number is on the Do-Not-Call list but these calls keep coming. Has anyone a solution? Short of using Skype or another VoIP which is not as convenient as a mobile phone.

Didn't answer the call... no caller ID given... no message left... figured it was a telemarketer.

Received phone call on my mobile phone and no voice mail left.  This number is on block now.

Thank you for posting your comment.  People need to be reminded that NO legitimate business calls asking for your personal information.  This number called and did not leave a message.  Knew it had to be some kind of solicitation.

The best thing to do is never answer a call from a number that you don't recognize!  If you stop answering they eventually go away.  The majority of them either want your money or are trying to trick you into giving out personal information that will compromise your identity and credit
