Repeated calls... no message.

Alison with a carpet cleaning special

Some male voice yakking on about the fact that Alison now cleans two rooms for the price of one. I am on the DNC list but this call always goes through! I would like to file a complaint. What do I do?

OK folks, how about another approach?

Hypothetically , what if all of us who receive these calls were to schedule a cleaning with the person who answers when we push 1? Schedule an appointment for next Tuesday at 9 a.m., or whenever. We would not, of course, give them a credit card payment in advance. And what if, next Tuesday when the cleaner shows up, either 1) no one is home or 2) whoever is home has no idea about the carpet cleaning and can't stay around while it's done.

After a few such useless encounters, it seems to me that the actual independent local carpet companies who pay for this annoying service would get the message that their marketing money is not being well spent.

Just an idea...

They have been calling my DNC number for two weeks. The people just say sorry and hang up on you when you call to complain. Palo Alto is in Santa Clara County so the San Mateo DA cannot do much. I have repoted to the DNC site

I'm purchasing an airhorn to respond to the live person.
Maybe that will clean her carpets!

I am on the DNC list and there was no remove from list option.

Another carpet cleaning call -- same as the others -- filed complaint with FCC41

I received a call today that began with a recorded message about carpet cleaning. I pressed 1 to make an appt. (really to talk with them). The woman who answered said she was with "Best Carpet Cleaning". I began to tell her I was on the do not call list and she hung up on me before I could finish my sentence.

Been getting calls from this number on my voice mail for months.  Once above 2 months ago, I answers and got the same response as above, and was suppose to be removed from their call list.  I'm still getting the calls.

Multiple calls and multiple times pressing the do not call option. Made contact with person and they hung up immediately when asked to put on do not call list

got it at 12:51pm here, the male voice over recording. reported to DNC site.

Have received four calls from this number.  Caller ID showed 415-555-1000.  This time I answered and listened to recording from "Dave" about carpet cleaning offers.  Pressed 1 to set up appointmnet, so I could talk to a person.  When I mentioned that I was on the do not call list, she hung up immediately.  Reported to Donotcall.gov (again)

Have gotten 5-6 of these calls at most inopportune times.

They call me about 2x a week..hate 'em!

They call me about 2x a week..hate 'em!

I saw the phone # on caller idea and wondered what it could be. I decided to let the answering machine pick up, but then the call disconnected, maybe because it was getting an answering machine? I am also on the DNC list. I decided to Google the phone number and that's how I found these posts.

I have been getting these calls for months, as has my next-door neighbor.

We have decided to make appointments then not answer the door if someone shows up.

I found a case in another state where the AG brought a case against a similar scam, and they settled for $10,000. I fail to see why the CA AG cannot go after these jerks.

I'm experiencing the same things everyone else is.
