Bing cold at work continuously from a number that I'm not familiar with I don't answer numbers I don't know cousin scams thank you

continuous phone harassment at work said they were from IRS  from jail smith.

Received the call from this number, when returned the call it was picked up by a guy with dirty American accent in some gulf country. He blanked couple of times when I said this is a scam call and FBI is tapping our phone. This is not the first time we received such calls. I have reported this to our local Police and they said they will refer this to FBI.

Continuous harassment. It's a scam

received this call as well today...a recorded message from Lucasfilm. but same number. annoying as heck.

Not sure if the same number called some time ago but the caller ID on one phone couldn't show a name but another phone of mine showed LUCASFILM.  They left a recorded message that it is a lady from the IRS needing you to call them before they take action and to take care...whatever...it is a scam and the IRS per my accountant would actually never call but send a written letter.  I wish the telemarketers would just STOP this annoyance!

Why does FBI not do anything about these calls...it is increasing on a daily basis

getting same msg. about IRS as I have rec'd from other numbers.  Caller ID shows Lucasfilms is the caller.  I guess FBI or IRS can not do anything about it. Are these calls being routed from another country??????

Constant calls, sketchy sounding voicemail threatening "further action". Called back and got a " We're sorry, but the call recipient is not available " voicemail. Real professional, guys....  Total scam and harassment....

The recorded message called again while I was away from the house and it was again a message from the fake IRS agent named Julie Smith.  This must stop...so annoying.

Recording stating to have my attorney or myself return this call from the IRS.  Caller id showed LUCASFILM also.

Called this morning.  Did not answer!  Left VM saying they are the IRS  "greatest attention to this matter"  The first part of the message was cut off so robot calling.

Because the Treasury Department, not the FBI, is in charge of this problem, and because most of the scammers are overseas using virtually untraceable Internet phones.  The countries they call from do not cooperate with the US government at all in catching the scammers -- indeed, they may look at what they do as merely another legitimate job.

Also, what is "it" as in "it is increasing?"  "It" isn't necessarily a single organized crime ring, but perhaps only a bunch of individuals each of whom buy their own magicJack and find a copy of the latest scamming script and individually profit from their scams.  (Yes, this call is coming from a magicJack.)  What is "FBI" supposed to do about that?  Devine in advance what the caller is going to say and decide whether to hang up an already completed call to you?  (Remember, this particular number has reports here going back only a few DAYS at this point.)

I think you've seen one too many episodes of "Person of Interest" for your own good.

Yes!!!!!!  Or, um, … yes.  In all likelihood, at least.  The number is a magicJack number that was probably turned on a few days ago.

Two calls w same female voice Julie smith from IRS.

Got two calls with a person saying my attorney needed to contact via their "hotline."  IRS has a hotline, wow!   Lucasfims is what shows on the caller ID>  Strange, it is the IRS but they don't have my name.  Avoid the scam and ignore the call.

They have called 3 times, so far.  Says action will be taken if not called back.  And that they are IRS

So far we've received 2 calls today from this number. Synthesized voice claiming to be from the IRS and stating that you or your attorney of record call her back at the number on the caller id.  

Received this call several times, found out it was a scam and called Verizon, they blocked the number so I wont be harassed anymore

Received call-no name on caller ID so did not pick up call.Have had several calls from various locations including call from "IRS" with Indian accent threatening that I owe money to IRS and that before the sherif comes to arrest me this company can help et etc.!
