Wish I knew how to  put a stop to these calls.

    BEWARE
Got 3 calls from this number today.  I called back and a man with a heavy accent answered "how may I help you?". I told him that I have received a call from this phone number and asked who was calling me. He replied with "the irs and I already told you that". I then told him that I didn't believe this was real. He told me to have a good day and hung up on me. Give them no info whatsoever.

I, too, received two calls from San Francisco /  Nickie Johnson,  IRS.....messages left which I deleted.  Total scam.  IRS does not contact by phone....and definitely does not tell you to have a nice day!!!  That was rather amusing!

This is a total scam. I had them do the same exact routine and say that I needed to call back or there would be legal action. They said they had sent mail but no one was there to sign for it (obviously there had not been any). I had the exact same script as has already been relayed in this thread. When I hung up, they said they were going to call 911 and the sheriff's dept to have me arrested! lol. Then a call came in with the caller ID as just "911" and someone told me to stay put since I was going to be arrested in the next half hour.

They called several times after I threatened to report them. I will definitely be reporting it. I feel horrible for people who may not be from the US and not be aware this was totally bizarre.

I received several phone calls and voice messages claiming they are with the IRS. These people have middle eastern accent not sure where thy are from. Scary that they had some personal information but not all. I challenged the questions they were asking me... what social security number are you referring to (never recite your SS to them) what year are you referring too.. what was my gross income for that year....  I also asked them what is the address of the IRS home office... They couldn't give me any information...They told me if I did't pay today they will come and arrest me... I asked him when are they going to come and arrest he said today I said what time so I could be home he said one hour...  ILMAO... Tell them you'll call them back..... Call them back ask the same questions play their game after a few phone calls they will get frustrated and block your number and they won't bother you anymore!

I got a threatening call from this number saying they're an officer of the IRS.  It was a pre-recorded message, female voice, Nicky Johnson saying if I didn't call them right  back, they will be taking action against me today.  When I did a check on this phone number, I found that it's a scam.

Received several calls from this number demanding a call back and payment of overdue taxes...initially, I shrugged
if off as a scam call, then I decided two could play this game...I called back and said I was ready to pay..what should
I do..a person with heavy accent( named Kevin Scott) said I owed $1998.54 which must be paid today..I sniffed a little bit and said I could only pay $500.00. He immediately accepted and said we could do a payment plan on the rest.  He instructed me to go to the nearest Dollar General and be ready to purchase a payment voucher with CASH ONLY, no debit or credit cards(imagine that).. then to call him when I arrived at store parking lot and he would guide me through the
purchase...during this call he stressed several times I was on the verge of being arrested today...once all the arrangements were made, I informed him his call was recorded as well and being forwarded to the sheriff's office, have a good day, sir!!
So far, no other calls have come forward....

Simply put no one needs to be threatened! I called the number back, it was answered a Mid-eastern sounding man. I asked where I was calling and he said the IRS. I asked where he was located and he replied "San Francisco area"  I asked for proof that he actually was with the IRS and he abruptly ended the call saying nothing further.

Person, foreign accent asked for my name, I wouldn't repeat it... Asked them who are you trying to contact as I was returning a missed call with voicemail left on my phone. They should know who I am, said his name was Ralph.  I don't owe any bills. When he would not tell me what company he was calling for, give me any employee I'd number, etc  he promptly  told me to F*%~Off.  Reporting number to authorities.

thank you so much for the information you have just provided. i received a call today just almost two hours ago with someone with an Indian or Pakistan accent, rude, and when I tried to ask questions, he told me to "SHUT UP." So I did and he proceeded to tell me that I had ignored several certified return mail requests to call them back. I said I never received them. Then he said that a note was posted on my door by the postman because "they" had asked the postman if he had delivered the certified return mail requests and according to him, the postman verified this. This man who would not give me his name told me that I was going to be arrested within two hours of his call, spend the night in jail until my appearance before the judge the next morning and that I was going to spend two years in jail, all of my property was going to be confiscated, bank accounts closed, etc. He asked if I had a criminal attorney and I responded I did and even asked him if I should have him present during my arrest and he responded that it would not do any good because I was still going to be arrested and that when prosecuted I was going to be put on the black list and never find anyone to hire me for seven years. He then told me that the police would be calling me to find out my address so they could come and arrest me. I do not consider myself "stupid"; however, I almost had a heart attack. He told me that the IRS had been conducting an audit on my business for the last 6 months going back seven years and I told him I had just started my business and when I asked him how that was possible, he again told me louder to SHUT UP. I called my attorney and his office did some research and found out that this was a scam. PLEASE do not let them do this to you. My attorney's office confirmed what you said, that the IRS does not do things like this, plus that the IRS is NOT mean to anyone; they do their job and do it politely. Thank you for giving me a reason to calm down.

    Snowdays
This Nikki Johnson character has called me nonstop for two days straight stating that they were from the IRS and that I needed to have an attorney to call them back. I thought to myself that is the weirdest strangest thing that I've ever heard / voice recorded message and I just hung up and I'm not going to call them back. I say this is a scam from another country!!!!!!! Just so annoying.
