- mom50Received a call on my cell from on 2/13 from someone named John Anderson, could barely understand him stating I needed to call or would send officers after me. Same date called me at work 6 times. First time told me I had to call a Mark Anderson at the 415-937-8430 immediately, that I had court action today in California and needed to call him to represent me. Tried to question him on who he represented and he said he could not tell me. I called the BBB and they advised to check my credit report and suggested I call PD in that area. Before I called call PD in California, he called again and said you did not call like I told you to. Told him I was not going to call, had called BBB and was getting ready to call police. A Detective called me back. She tried calling and just kept getting busy signal. She called me back later and said they answered saying "hello" and she identified herself and they hung up,. This morning at 7:05 AM my time (4:05 AM their time) got a call on my cell, but did not leave a message. So tired of this harassment.

- DanniI have received numerous calls from this number and they are very rude and informed me that I was being sued and that they are representing the Attorney General Office. I was threaten that the police was going to come to my job and arrest me and that I will have to do 6mths in jail... For what I have not committed any crimes, the only crime that has been committed is from the non-speaking english people who continue to call my number and do not know the law. Something needs to be done about these people. I am sure they wanted sometype of money. The call was very distribuing I called some of my creditors and they informed me that they are receiving calls from other consumers stating that they where being threaten. If anyone has gone on line to try to get a loan I believe this is where they are obtaining are telephone numbers. Its better to conduct business with well established companies. The person called himself Don Johnson that's funny because he couldn't even pronounce his own name correctly
- RoseToday I received a phone call from this phone number. I did not answer the call, so a message was left on my voicemail. The message stated that me or my retained attorney is not to ignore this call given it's a time sensitive legal matter at hand. The caller said her name was Sarah Wood, and to call her back on this number which is her direct phone number. She stated that if I or my attorney did not return the call, the only thing she could do is wish me luck in handling this legal action as it unfolds upon me. So, I tried to call this person back trying to find out what this is about. I was hung up on numerous time, unable to get a hold of this Sarah Wood. Instead I kept speaking to this very rude heavy accent man, who claimed no one has tried to call me from this number. He knew my name and my employer. Even threaten to call and harass my employer if I did not stop calling this number. Finally I do not know how these people were able to call my cell phone using my employer direct phone number claiming to be my human resource department. A woman with a heavy accent, told me that this person name Kevin, filed a complaint against me for calling his number which is the 415 area code, claiming I was harassing him, Therefore I have been Terminated from my job. I am still trying to figure out how these people were able to call me from my employers phone number. Needless to say I immediately phones my employer, only to find out that no one could have made that call from there office, because it was before office hours and no one was in the office at that time. That is not my employer`a policy to terminate an employee over the phone. Meanwhile this man was telling me that the police were going to meet me at my place of employment and arrest me for fraudulent cash advances.

- SickofthesecallsI had three missed calls yesterday between 5am and 5:30 am from a blocked number. Left no message. Then this morning I got a call at 5:40 am asking for Brandy from a blocked number from who appeared to have an accent I couldnt understand. I told him to stop calling my number and that there is no Brandy that owns this phone. I got to work and at 8:20 am I got a call to my cell phone again, this time from 415-737-8430. I answered on the second ring but noone was there, then all of a sudden my phone has a voicemail. I presume they somehow accessed my voicemail when I answered. Not sure how thats possible. The message was a threatening one saying good luck with the legal action if I dont call back. I called them back just to say STOP CALLING MY NUMBER. The person who answered spoke clear english. He said "Hello" . I told him to stop calling my number and that there was no Brandy owning this phone. He hung up on me. There has to be something someone can do to stop this. It appears they are blocking their number as well as making their number visible.
- Caller: Didnt specify but threatening

- MandyjoMy mom and step dad both received this call. I called them back and said I was calling in regards to a phone call my client receive, they instantly hung up and now will not answer my calls. Two can play at this game. I've had to do this before for people. You scare them into thinking you have an attorney. Ask them for the date the loan was taken out, how much it was for and the company it was with. Then ask them to send you a copy of the contract and payment terms. You will never hear from them again.
- Jolie| 1 replyThis number called 4 times in a row, as soon as I'd clear the call, it would be ringing again. THe first call, they left a vm- basically saying that they're calling from the State Attorney's office and if I have an attorney. I couldn't really understand through his thick accent. He asked me if I listened to my vm, I told him no and he began to say the same thing basically. But I immediately told him to stop calling me, that if I receive another call from them, I'll be reporting this to the police immediately. I know it's a scam, but come on people! This was happening last year to me, all of a sudden, I'm starting to get calls from different numbers about cash advances and loans. Each time, I tell them that I didn't apply for anything and I just tell them I'm filing bankrupsty so that they leave me alone. Why all of a sudden? Plus I even got a call at my direct number at work, how did they get that number? I'm going to be changing my number very soon.
- Tomyeah these people have been calling my home and harassing me and my wife saying they are with the state attorney office and that someone has filed a lawsuit against me I know it's not true they just called my home 13 times in the last 5 min. no lie they are driving me nuts. I don't know what to do about it.
- Caller: stated State Attourney
- AngelCI also received a call from John Williams on both my work and my cell today. He got voice mails on both numbers and left messages but I'm sure he will attempt it again. Don't let these idiots scare you. It is a scam and they are trying to scare people into giving them money. Even collectors have laws that they have to abide by (my former job many many years ago) and telling someone you are sending the police to arrest them is such BS! it is legally not allowed. The police barely comes when you have a car accident, do you really think they're going to go to someone's house over a "supposed unpaid bill"? I"m so ready for this [***] when he calls back. They tend to target people who have had pay day loans. If you do have any, make sure you contact the company directly. This happens to me every 6-8 months for the past few years now. It's always a very heavily accented individual (my guess is Indian) with a very normal American name who barely speaks english...
