I rec'd phone call at my place of employment and the man w/broken India accent stating I need to call Kevin Peterson about a case.  I also rec'd a phone call from this number on my cell every 2 hrs.

I've been getting the same calls.  Idiot doesn't seem to realize that 415 is a CA area code, and I don't live in CA, never lived in CA, never even visited it. So . . . there was no way he could be from my state's attorney office.  When I informed him I would be calling my local police department to report it, then I would be reporting it to the federal government as well--where he and his company would both be liable for $1000 per harassing/threatening call, he told me the police would be at my house tomorrow at 10:30.  I said, fine, send them, I have all your calls and message saved in my phone.  I'll be happy to replay them for the police.  Course, they'll be here before that when I finish speaking with them today.

Got call from these people at 5:00 claiming they were law office and I hung up because I have two baby and it woke me and my baby up. My husband says who does that?

just got another call from this number who said that i was being sued for check fraud for not paying back a payday loan. i had just gotten the payday loan on the first day they called me and i didn't understand what i was being sued for. i have already had the first amounts deducted from my bank for my legitimate loans and i told the guy that i know this is a scam and to cease and desist calling me and that if this was a legitimate case to send papers to my address on file. i then told him to never call my number again and that i was going to contact the ftc on him.

I have been getting a call from 415-937-8430 for a couple weeks now.  A few weeks back I was looking into debt consolidation loans.  I NEVER ended up getting one because the rates were so outrageous.  I had a message at work over the weekend, a phone call on my cell this morning, and then another call at work this morning.  Per the person on the other end of the phone, she said she was from the district attorney's office and I needed to take down an attorney's name and number. Then she asked if I have a lawyer.  I asked her why I needed one and she said there were 3 outstanding judgments against me.  I told her I had no outstanding loans (just CC stuff).  After I told her that I told her to either take me off her phone list or go to hell.  Hopefully I won't keep getting called...if I do, I will gladly talk to the police myself and file a formal harassment complaint.  These people have absolutely NO RIGHT to call work/cell/etc and harass and threaten people.  One thing I think is really funny is the fact that you can barely understand these people, but they are supposedly from a district attorney's office..yeah right!

I get the same call about every 4 months but they seem always to call when I am not a round and they leave a message.  However, there is a 2nd group that calls and states they are right outside my door and I will be arrested immediately, needless to say collection personnel can be rude, and they do attempt to scare you but they aren't stupid, just tape the call and report to local authorities.

I received a call from this number today at my work number 678381-0565.  They gave me no specific information, just stated that a lawyer by the name of Mr. Peterson was going to file a lawsuit against me.  I asked for specific informaiton,but was given none.  I don't know what this is regarding.  I advised them that I could NOT receive personal calls at work.

i just received a call from this number at my job. They stated that chagres have been filed against me and to call the same number back and askfor Kevin Peterson. They said they was from the Attorny's office in California

Get this call today telling me that they are going to file legal matters against me ??? Huh?? what legal matters... this is a scam!!!

I do not believe them and they can do all they want I know i have done no wrong!

Received phone call from this number.  Very hard to understand, said he was from Office of Legal Authority.  Message was I needed to call back before end of business day today.  Or there would be legal action taken against me.   SCAM, SCAM, SCAM   Have reported number to FTC.

I just received another call from this number, they are calling me at my work! The lady is stating that she is from the State Attorney's Office in California. She said someone is on their way to my office to arrest me. I called the number back and it's a beep! Scam scam! This needs to stop! This is a form of harassment!

I received a call from AJohn Anderson saying I received a loan from Cash Advance.
I need to know when. He said for me to call Kevin Peterson at 415-937-8430. I did, they won't answer. What can I do? I did not get a loan from Cash Advance.

My husband has been getting phone calls on his cell and at work from this number; by an Erik Anderson, telling him that if he didn't pay a past due loan amount then an attorney would file charges on him. When the school's secretary told him that my husband was in the middle of class, he told her that a police office would be coming by in 3 hours to arrest my husband. Well, as anyone would do, she and my husband freaked out.

Thankfully, my mother is an attorney and I was able to get to the bottom of all of this. We found the attorney they said were filing charges, and called him. He is a certified attorney in California, but is not related to these scams in any way! His office was very nice, very professional! He has a pending case with the FBI and the FTC about it. What he was able to tell us is that it is steming from an over seas crime gang.

I suggest telling them that you've contacted an attorney, regardless of if you have or haven't, and that they are under investigation with the FBI, BBB, and FTC. I also suggest contacting your bank, your place of employment, and all three credit agencies; telling them what is going on. That way, if something does happen, then yo have it on file that you've made them aware of this.

Just as a piece of mind- the US stopped sentencing people to jail for debts back in the 1930's. They may make your life hell, but the fact remains that they cannot arrest you for it.

The same idiot called me at 7:30 AM and left me the same message, threatened me, and said if I didn't call him back the only thing he could do was wish me good luck in what was to follow.  But this idiot's name was "Robbie Wilson".  Same almost impossible to understand English,  I'm so tired of it.  I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

I got the same call,trying to pull the same scam.I have called them more than 50 times today and I think its pissing them off.hahahahaaa

I just got call from a 1-213-289-3777 saying that I needed to speak to Kevin Peterson regarding deliquent taxes.  I spoike to Kevin he said that I needed to pay something in good faith. Or I would be arrested and put in jail for  6months with bail . Or liesences be supended. take propety. When I called back he hung up on me twice I asked the operator for physical address. He said that only Kevin could give that. Transferred me but Kevin never picked up.  Any body getting that call from that number ? My husband was getting a call saying that he had reported the wrong information on his taxes and was going to be reported. they called from a415 number. I have been trying to call the treasury department and am on hold so long may have to go to the tax office number.
