Just received a call from this number saying my car warranty is almost up and its the final notice. The called on my rogers wireless number. It then said press 1 to speak with a representative. I hung up. This is the 3rd or 4th time they called from different numbers.

I've had this call a few times as well and I've hung up.  They actually left the recording as a voicemail this time...

Just had the same call as everyone else about my car warrenty being expired save your time dont answer just another scam. I think someone has gotten a list of rogers wireless numbers since ive been getting more and more of these calls in the past 2-3 weeks and telemarketers arent supposed to be able to call cell phone numbers.

Got the phone call with a recorded message saying that my car's factory warranty is expiring. Pressed 1 to "talk to an associate", but hung up after being put on hold (found this site at the same time). I have a telus phone and am getting these calls.

got the same call about 12:55pm today.  I pressed one, was put on hold for minute or so.  Kid comes on introduces himself and then says he needs to ask a few questions before he can transfer me to a warrenty specialist.  Which I responded back to him as to how he knows the warrenty is running out on my vehicle?  He then responds that I misheard the message.  I then responded by "Well that must be some warrenty I have for it to be running on a 25 year old car!"  He then provides some number for the do not call list and hangs up on me all pissed off.  I got a good chuckle on that one.  Guess he doesn't like people poking fun at him, while he sits in a crowded telemarketing scam office!  They phoned me on my telus phone.

Same as above listed, it's a "car warranty expiry" scam.  Makes me sad that it's a 416 area code.  Normally I can spot them easily by their California area code.

Just got a call on the cell from 416-000-7954.  Does this have any connection to providing my cell number to Facebook to get the text message code for setting up a new app?

Has anyone else recently set up something on Facebook?

I also got this call on my Telus phone.  I have not given my number out to anyone except one or two immediate family. I was too late to take the call but I figured that it was a scam from the number. My daughter-in-law has also received these calls on her cell-phone.

I wonder if it's the facebook thing!

I got a call from this number today and right after I updated my Facebook app on my iPhone.

I didn't hear anything about a car warranty. When I answered, I waited approximately 5 seconds and heard nothing so I hung up and immediately searched the phone number in Google

It's not Facebook related. I am getting these calls on my work cell, which I don't give out to my friends and certainly don't give out on/to Facebook. Don't know where they're getting the numbers. Have been receiving calls a few times a week from various unknown but suspicious looking telephone numbers.

I got the call 2 seconds ago, I'm with Telus though. Seems like someone has a hold of a large number of cellphones numbers :(
