Just got a call today (satruday) from the scotia bank Financial blabla? REally? On a saturday? First they were laughing at the beginning.. so I got pretty suspicious. Then he start talking a long time and I just said : wait a second, first I don't trust a bank that call me on the weekend, and second I'm hanging up right now. I'm pretty sure you don't want to trust them..

I got the same number calling my cell all the time, soon gonna pick up and tell them to fly to F**k and not to call my number anymore!

Melissa is right!  Technology could get to you but then technology could save you a lot of worry.  I plugged the number into Google and found your comments here for which I'm grateful.  With all the talk of Heartbleed virus when I got this call today claiming to be Scotia Financial I got very suspicious (especially since the woman kept getting my name wrong) besides the fact that today is Saturday 12-April what the ...!  Why are they calling in the EVENING on a WEEKEND?  Anyway I'm going to block the number.  Thanks guys for the info.

I just got called now, though I did not pick-up. I have "call display" for a reason, to filter all the other phone calls that are basically people trying to sell me something I don't need or want.

I get calls several times a week from that number. I don't pick up any more. The only time i did as soon as i said hello it started to ring like i was calling somebody.

gat a call from this number last night 7:19pm.  didn't recognize the number but I run a biz from home so had to answer.  but anyone who asks for me in a is Mrs. so & so there? so officially I know its not someone I want to talk too. So I just told them they had the wrong number.

Its not that you owe them.money they are trying to sell insurance to.you.

Male caller with a strong French accent, offering life insurance. Very pushy. Had a quick, detailed answer for every reason I had for not wanting his offer. Claimed he was from Scotia Bank, but this is clearly a scam. Scotia Bank will NEVER ask for ANY personal information over the phone, nor would they be persuasive after you tell them "No, thank you." As well, I am certainly not one of their more valued customers, as this man claimed I was.

Four years later and this number is still using the same scam. They must have has some success with it. I sincerely hope the word gets out and that they are disciplined by the law.

Just had a call from this number. I didn't answer it - I really screen our calls due to the amount of scammers around these days - and they did not leave a message.

i received a call from this number...they asked for me..my name.....i simply said no....he said he is from scotia bank...and hang up...strange..

Just received a call from this number on my cell, I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Have received calls from other versions of this number as well, same result.

Just received a call from this number on my landline. Was not home and didn't pick up. Glad to see I didn't miss something important and it's just either a scam or Scotiabank bugging me again.

This is the scotia line for insurance I believe.  I got a call too.
