This number called me so I called back and it forwarded me to an automated message thingy saying they would call me back. They've called me before and same thing, there's no one on the other end so I just hang up.

yeh I get this call everyday around 8:15pm..

Called a few times and do not leave a message.

3 rings, that's it.
ANd they call all the time.

Constantly getting calls from 416-646-8801.  No clue who it is.  Twice a day and even on Saturdays they call me.  I'll like to ring there neck!

If you have call block service or call screen you can add the # to your list of blocked callers.  *60 from bell canada, I don't know if it is the same for all telephone companies though.  I just added it myself.  Would still lke to know who or what they wanted.

Actually I can not add it to my block service.  The recording says" The number you have added is not available with this service".  Go figure!

yeah, i received a call 2x aday to this number. i call back... no answer, i even use my cellphone by not sedning my number, still no answer.... i hate this...please find out who owned this number.....

These annoying relentless calls are from The toronto sun telemarketers.

Asking them to remove you from their list wont work - they will call more often.

Send this person an email and let them know that just because they are outside of the Do Not Call rules doesnt mean they have the right to irritate and disturb people as much as they do.

Called me at 8 p.m. but my phone rang twice and then stopped. called back and got message that said it was a promotional call from the Toronto Sun.

No answer when I said Hello

Yep. 8pm and it rang 2x and they hung up just as I tried to answer.
I think it's 'The Globe and Mail' cause they keep harassing us to sign up for newspapers. Even though we don't live in Toronto.

I received the call at 5:16 pm on November 1st, 2008. Missed the call, but when I called back it said it was the Toronto Sun, and I had received a promotional call, and press 1 to speak to a Customer Service Rep... so I hung up lol.

This number calls me EVERYDAY..so annoying! Who the hell is calling?

I've been called by these guys each day for 3 days.  From what I have seen you guys posting, I just might answer and talk to these guys.  I'm SICK of all these numbers.  I've put myself on the Do Not Call List, but maybe they haven't updated it in a while, so I'll wait a couple more days before answering.

I reported this number to the CRTC, and complained to Allstream as well. I've found that the best way to deal with telemarketers is to be as vulgar and disgusting as possible -- they won't WANT to call you back. Also yell and scream really loud, and blow a whistle into the telephone. Drives them nuts.

I've got calls since one and a half week always around 3pm. When I pick up no one is on the other end and after a couple of seconds there's a busy sign....if they want to sell something why the hell isn't anybody saying something???

Just curious, for those getting these calls where no one is on the other line... are you also getting telemarketing calls from Bell Canada?
Phone calls from 416-646-8801 started around the same time Bell Canada started me on their auto dialer list.  I heard sometimes phone numbers like this 416-646-8801 are setup just to see when people are most often home... then the information is used by companies like Bell Canada so their telemarketers know when to call!!
