- LP| 1 replyNot sure if this was Citi or not calling as they did not leave a message. I am a victim of identity theft, in which, the person that stole my identity ran my card up to no end. I have pressed charges and Citi is way out of line having their representatives call me continually. My stance is you figure out "Citi" why you allowed such charges to my card, when you denied or blocked all of my purchases prior to this incident. They have been told that if they continue to call me without leaving a message or have their debt collection department call me, I will seek legal action against them. My word to all looking up this number - never, ever, ever have a card issued by Citi for one, non-English speaking employees (outsourcing), and most of them are as rude as hell.
- Caller: Might be Citi

- BostonHolly replies to LPI'm sorry for your horrible experiences and thank you for the heads up re:CityBank. Sometimes Chase Bank will call me but I have their Fraud Dept. number, which is separate from all their CS numbers, plugged into my Contacts so that I know it's serious. If it's really serious they call and stress that it's urgent I call them back and in proper English.

- Tom replies to KatySame deal. I had spoken to Citi earlier in the day and it was clear they knew I did not have a card since the post office had returned it as undeliverable. Are they somehow tapping incoming numbers to Citi then running this scam? Suspicious.
- DeseryI received a call from this number, but I don't answer phones that I'm not familiar with. I checked to se if the caller left a voicemail, but none was left.So it leads me to believe this call
might be a scam. I called the number back with *67 and then the phone number. What happens is you get a male automated voicemail that says "You have reached Citi" call (800)950-5114 ? So I call the number it rings and the female automation is asking for my credit card number, I did not provide it, then it asked to provide a social security number, I declined. Then again it asked for my credit card number, again I refused. So I finally hear a live female representative who spoke broken english I could not understand much of what she was saying I had her repeat it a few times. Then I got firm and asked what this call was about, because I was called from the first call, with no message, then I call the nimber and it gives you another number the (800)950-5114 ? She said the call was for technical issues, repairs and Google ? What?!!! I told her I never called Citi about this matter. I also told her I am calling the official Citi Corporation Customer Service and get to the bottom of these calls. And told her I will never give my information to anyone until I speak to the horses mouth.I'ts definitely not true that I called for any Google or technical issues or repairs!!!- Caller: The 423 automated male voice said Citi?

- Tree BarkerSuper patient guy from "Best Buy Consumer Protection Department" trying everything he could to phish information out of me. Gave me my own phone number and address incorrectly. Asked for SSN and date of birth. When I asked him for his social security number, he got off script and said he didn't have one because he was calling from outside the country. I kept him on the line as long as I could and dared him multiple times to hang up on me. He couldn't do it. Finally after 10 minutes he managed to disconnect. I was actually sad when he finally disconnected. I hope my new friend is able to call me again sometime,
