I was driving when they called me. It says that BMO agent is calling so I answered and I was told that there is something wrong with my account. I called the bank, they checked and said that there is nothing wrong with my accounts or my credit card.

Scam!

Thats the problem with sites like this. Some people say its legit and others say the same number is a scam. You get scammers from third world countries flocking to sites like this and posting fake 'positive reviews' so that unsuspecting people feel confident the number is real when in fact its NOT

I got a call from this number today and they left a voicemail about recent activity on my card, which is a new double cash back card. They told me to contact the number they gave me or to call back the number on the back of my MasterCard. I called back the number that’s on the back of my card just to play it safe and got a representative. They just wanted to confirm some recent charges that were made to my new card and that I approved of or were responsible for making those transactions. And they asked for a security code, which unfortunately I couldn’t remember but they allowed me to reset it. It was a perfectly legit call at least in my experience.

This is legit Citi Bank. They called me from this number and left a voicemail about fraudulent activity on my Best Buy credit card. I didn't call back this number but instead called back the number on my card and sure enough, someone tried to charge $2,500 on my account but luckily they cancelled the transaction. The guy on the voicemail had a strong southern accent but the 800 number lady was definitely in the Philippines. lol

Left a message for spouse stating they were with sears fraud department and there was fraudulent activity on his account.

He does not have an account with sears at all.

Called 9am on a holiday. No message. Blocked.

I got a call from a rep talking about fraud on my Best Buy credit card (issued by Citibank). He said someone tried to add an authorized user. I hung up and called the number on the back of the card. They confirmed the fraudulent activity. I ended up cancelling my card because I never use it anyway.

Since he clearly posted here in 2014, which was 4 years ago, I think he probably found out by now.

This is a legitimate number of Citibank.  I received a callback from this number after sending a letter requesting that a commercial credit card account be closed.  They called to confirm the request, which banks will always do.

Please be aware that many spammers/scammers use fake caller IDs, and it is possible that some of these criminal element are smart enough to use Citibank's caller ID when the call is in fact not coming from Citibank.  I suspect that may be why some of the people leaving comments here think it is fraudulent.
