Just got the same Chris Murphy story. So lame.

I just got an offer from him too.  Thanks all for reporting that is how I found out it was a scam.

I just received a check from the same person although i never received a call or email about craigslist or something i was selling. I did however receive a text about a job as a Makeup artist for August Edition of Elle Magazine. She said she reviewd my profile and loved my work and asked for me to send a resume if interested. I am a stylist and of course I was intrigued. my # was on my instagram so i figured that was how they got my #. Seeing as how i have worked Jobs already with local Magazines who found me through instagram.
Long story short the details came in and were emailed to me but said Id be working in New Orleans in September but I thought it was for the August Edition?...My mentor works with all the big names in the industry so she pointed out all this persons mistakes and got in touch with the person that this fraud was claiming to be...now i received a check in the mail from Chris Murphy, Capitol Title Of Texas New Braunfels, Tx -Jefferson Bank
