Number called me at 8:30 a.m! EST. I picked up but my voice mail must of already kicked in as they had hung up. Just as well after reading these posts. I have gotten a few calls from FOP (showing that on caller ID), so this may be another number calling for them. Just a note on that; I grew disenchanted with FOP a number of years ago when they called right after my spouse had been laid off and were really struggling financially. we had donated in the past and this time I told them we couldn't afford to. The caller actually insinuated that I may not get the police protection I might need someday! I was shocked! I do all my donating through work now through United Way. I can pick my own recipients.

I recieved a cal for my husband when I told her he wasn't home, she hung up.

called 3x this month. Asking for money for the police dept. Phoney!!! Told them to put us on the don't call list. Probably won't work

so much for being on the do not call AND having an unlisted number. Getting spam calls from this number too--

This number just called. Of course I didn't answer it without searching it first. No message left.

Caller ID simply says California. I answered and a very polite person said they were representing the Fraternal Order of Police of New York State.  I immediately interrupted him and asked him to remove me from their call list.  He said he would and thanked me for my time.

I have 15 different numbers that call consistently, very annoying, called my phone company to find out how to block/reject numbers.  For $3/month I can enter numbers so when they call they will be rejected, hoping this works!

call comes in ans.machine comes on they leave no message.it was from california..

caller id reads: Hawthorne CA....caller left no message......I'm getting alot of hang-up calls from this number....I have no friends, etc residing in this area code.............potential scam????  read comments posted by others, below..................

They called and asked for my son, who is 9 years old.

This number calls and never leaves a message. I was home today when they called and they actually got on the line and talked to me. It was a company called Liberty Power and they are trying to sell electricity at a rate cheaper than you actually pay your power company. I am aware of the changes in the law that make it legal for them to do this and the local electric utility still delivers your power and is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure. Google Liberty Power and you will find all kinds of horrer stories about them.

got a call from this # claiming to be the police officer's fund or something like that. felt awefully shifty comming from a strange area code so i'm reporting it

Calls 10 times a day for past 3 weeks.. NOT KIDDING, every day....and caller id says cancer fund.. well, today it showed up as 424-294-3053 with no name attached. when i answered they asked for me. when i asked who was calling they said cancer fund.  whoever this company is, is way out of control with their phone calls

Oh yeah, and it comes in as a local number here in vegas also. that ID's as cancer fund also.
