We get all kinds of calls from toll-free numbers, with this number being the most recent. We are also on the do not call list, but that obviously doesn't matter. I never answer a call I don't recognize. I maintain that if it is legit and they have something to say to me, they will leave a message. Other than "Allice" calling for some kind of credit card scam (which is pre-recorded), they never leave a message. Guess this is 'welcome' to the world of 'cons' we live in. I can't imagine anyone would fall for an unsolicitated call, but I guess they must - else these crudbuckets wouldn't waste their time and money.

Caller ID says California.  Phone rang 4 times and they hung up.  Did not leave a message.

This number is being "Spoofed" by  Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO.  They will try and gather enough information to create an account.  Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.

I answered this call as I have an unlisted number, so I figured it was someone I should know.  They said they were calling numbers in this area for donations to the FOP.  I kept trying to ask how they got my number and he kept interrupting me.  I told him this was an unlisted number and he thanked me and said he would put me on their do-not-call list.  Wondering if I should call Century Link and ask them how they got my number.

I was not home when I was called, but the caller ID said California.  I will not answer.

Received a call from 424-294-3053.
They said my name and hung up. Called the number back
and got a message the number is not in service.

Someone else from Oklahoma got a call from these guys saying it was the FOP. I have called the OKC FOP local number and they said they hire out their fundraising calls.

So it might have been legit, but I told the local dudes that even if I did want to contribute, I would not do so 1) through a phone call and 2) especially not one coming from California. Every year I ask them to leave me off their list, and yet every year they phone me up anyway.

I donated ONCE, like ten bucks two decades ago, and somehow they keep on tracking me down with this old donation record. We have moved a couple times since I made a donation and we have an unlisted phone number, but it's still really creepy how they can track us down.

Got an email with this number at the bottom of it:

They called saying they were a car warranty company and said my warranty was expired. I said I have 4 more years on my warranty and the Lady pretended I didn't say anything and repeated her last sentence. Thanked her for the lovely scam attempt and hung up.
